There is a website catering to the sexual fantasies of the blind, called Pornfortheblind.org which is something I have not even thought about.
Porn for the Blind is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to producing audio descriptions of sample movie clips from adult web sites. This service is provided free of charge.
Yes, it contains links to mp3s of someone describing a clip of sexual activities that are contained in different porn sites across the web. Out of curiosity (yeah, as if you’d believe that) I downloaded one and listened to it. It’s narrated by a dull sounding guy who could have been reciting a dissection of a frog or some other low life animal or reading out tax receipts! And there’s a polite request to help out by recording your voice describing similar video clips of the sexual variety.
Dare I? Nah! Maybe….no, no. I couldn’t!
The German greats, Scorpions, have returned with a bang. Probably their best album since 1993’s Face The Heat, 2007’s Humanity Hour 1 sees some mid tempo rockers and ballads rule the roost in the 12 track cd. Classic heavy sound, the twin guitar attack of Rudy & Mathais and those fabulous vocals of Klaus Maine! Its a lethal combination.
The album starts with Game Of Love a mid-tempo rocker, a good track that sets the mood. Then you have We Were Born To Fly, a melodic song with some heavy parts. You will be rocking to the Scorpions of the early 90s by this time and thanking Germany for siring these guys. The Future Never Lies is a piano heavy ballad that made me wanna reach for the lighter (wait, I don’t have one since I don’t smoke. Ok hand me my cell phone; the light on the screen will have to suffice).
A big rocker is Lovin’ Me To Death, about the wicked woman who has you in the palm of her hand. Coming out with a killer bass riff, 321 is a song that is about wanting to rock your brains out and to have a great musical time. Love With Keep Us Alive Again is probably their best song in ages, a wonderful ballad. They should definitely promote this song on video and radio. We Will Rise Again is about the everlasting life of love and how it can never be completely wiped out, that it will come back later.
It gets a bit dull with Your Last Song, a predictable semi-ballad. Love Is War is a song in a similar vein but much better than the previous song. The Cross features the vocals and the lyrics of Billy Corgan, singer of Smashing Pumpkins. The guitar styling on this track almost sounds Nu-metal at times but then falls back into that great Scorpions style. Its a cool track. But the band seems to focus all publicity on Humanity, a song that laments the status of the world and bids it good-bye as its only a matter of time before humans destroy one and another.
Truly a good album for all long time fans of the Scorps and if you haven’t heard of them listen to their greatest hits and then come here.
Oh how I wish that it happened as it sounds when you read this post. I know some of you must be thinking of the sleaziest things in your mind the second you read the title. Yeah, I mean you! Snap out of it. And some of you might be wondering, her and you? Come’on Rosh! Well here is the story, which is no way as interesting as the title.
Ms.Puri is an Indian model and sometime actress. Having seen her in print & in tv ads I had developed quite a crush for the lovely Bhumika. There was this print ad for some tampon that featured her and they were postered on some pharmaceutical stores, shops and supermarkets in Calicut, where I was working at the time. I always used to ogle at the posters when I passed by them.
Well one evening me & the guys from work got high and drunk in the lodge that a couple of us were staying at. Later we went out to get some food. On the way, we passed a closed store that had the same poster stuck on the outside glass window. Well, while my buddies decided to ‘gift’ it to me and when I was not watching, the took the poster from the window, only tearing off a corner or two and when I wasn’t looking, they pasted it on the wall opposite my bed. That night, I didn’t notice it, as I came into my room, still quite drunk and the lights were off, but the next morning, imagine my shock as I opened my eyes only to stare into her gorgeous face. It took me a bit to understand as to how that poster got there and the others had a laugh at my expense.
I’ve played this song 3 times on Winamp today and then searched for a live version. The John Butler Trio know how to deliver a funky rocking song and they needn’t all be standing for it! Watch them play Company Sin live.
Then I played this song and it kept ringing in my years for a while. Zebra played live in front of a Melbourne audience. Enjoy!
to all of you, Keralites & non-Keralites alike. Its the new year Kerala style. Well its the start of the Harvest season and its a good excuse to bring out the banana leaves and fill your belly up with rice & a hundred curries. Apparently its also new years for the Punjabis, Kannadigas, Assameese & Tamilians. So happy new year to you guys as well.
The pic of the sadya above is similar to what I’m gonna have this afternoon. Payasam is one of my favourite things to have, but unlike most people, I like to have it cold or cooled rather than piping hot. Come on people we live in one of the hottest regions in the world, let’s cool off a bit.
I’m all for harvest season festivals. Ofcourse the ‘Vishu kanni‘ is something I have skipped since I was 14. Who the heck wants to see that faggot blowing his flute the first thing in the morning? Not me.
There’s no better way to relax on a Sunday then get my butt over to Cafe Coffee Day and have a cold mocha frappe and a blueberry muffin. Muffins are now one of my favourite snacks but there’s only a couple of places that I can get some. Other than the 2 CCDs in town, I was also able to get a really nice one at Barista’s located in Bay Pride Mall.
After that I went to see if there were any new cds worth buying and although the choices were quite dull, I was able to get a copy of Bryan Adams’ latest cd 11. From there it was on to Men’s Studio, where I bought a couple of shirts. My wardrobe is minimalistic and I was way overdue in getting some shirts. Anyway, I am happy with my selections. I also grabbed a bottle of Gillette aftershave. Then I went to grab some lunch, noodles & chicken with a couple of beers.
- Funny how some people affect you the most even if you have known them only for a short while.
- Some asshole moron called me up to try and convert me to Christianity – he found out through someone who works in my office that I am an atheist – claiming that he had the answer to my ‘sufferings’ and to go and visit this nun who ran some Christianity classes. After politely saying no and getting nowhere, I kept the phone but he called again, so then he got some choice words from me!
- It was hot & muggy for two straight days, unable to sleep due to sweating between the sheets and then – nice rain. So much more peaceful & cool.
- Work has been slowing down for the last couple of days but the assholes still exist. I wonder if there is a product like “moron repellent”.
- We have a long weekend (which normal to most people outside India) as Monday is ‘Vishu’ (Malayalam New Year) and so I get to relax for 2 whole days.
- I need to go shopping for clothes!
towelhead aka nothing is private movie After a disastrous last quarter of the regular season, Ottawa are still crumbling, unable to pick their morale & game up for the playoffs. Finishing in at 7th spot in the East, after leading it for a long time, the Sens had started losing games to all the teams, winning just enough to ensure that their tumble down the rankings didn’t end outside the top 8. All Sens fans had hoped that the playoffs would give them a renewed mission and recharge their batteries in order to gear up to the challenge of facing the youthful & exuberant Pittsburgh Penguins.
However after two games of round 1 of the playoffs in Pittsburgh, Ottawa find them selves staring at the end of a long and tough season for them. Pittsburgh leads 2-0 having scored 9 games in total while the Senators have just scored 3. The big guns in Ottawa have got to start scoring goals galore and the defense have got to support the goalie. Otherwise, we are looking at an early end to the season for us.
There was so much talk & hype about this movie that I was afraid that I would not like it. But now that I have seen it, I like the movie a lot. Especially Ellen Page, who I remember as this skinny short haired kid in the first season of ReGenesis. So Juno McDuff (Page) is this girl who gets unexpectedly pregnant by her long time friend Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera), who is passively in love with Juno. After telling her father & step-mom (brilliantly done by Allison Janney), Juno decides to look for a suitable couple who can adopt the baby, with the help of her friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby). She finds, what seems like, the ideal loving couple in Mark and Vanessa Loring (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner) and meets them at their house with her father. Juno finds a friend in Mark as he seems cool & down to earth, making a living creating commercial jingles. Vanessa is anxious as they had tried to adopt earlier but the girl backed out. She comes as being uptight but when Juno & Leah see Vanessa playing with a kid in the mall, they understand that she (Vanessa) would make a great mother. When Juno finds out that Bleeker asked another girl out for the prom, she feels let down and is quite upset. However Bleeker points out that Juno was the one who pushed him in that direction.
Upset, Juno heads out to see Mark at his house and while listening to music, he confesses that he isn’t ready to be a father yet and wants to divorce his wife. Soon Vanessa confronts Mark about his inability to grow up but then agrees for the divorce proceedings. Sad and distraught, Juno wants to go ahead with the adoption as long as Vanessa wants to. While speaking to her father about love and relationships, she understands that she really loves Bleeker and gets together with him.
A few weeks later Juno gives birth to a baby boy and Vanessa takes the baby to raise him as a single mother. On the wall in the baby’s new nursery, Vanessa has framed Juno’s note, which reads “Vanessa: If you’re still in, I’m still in. -Juno.” The film ends with Juno and Paulie playing guitar and singing together sometime later, followed by a kiss.
There’s something sweet about the entire movie and you can’t help but liking the characters, especially Juno. Cera is good as the dorky but sweet school kid, Janney is great as the concerned step-mom and Garner plays a low key role. Watch this one and fall in love with Juno.
I found this test in ModSuperStar’s blog this morning & took it myself. He could take 30 (I doubt that) and it seems that I am a weakling compared to him. I think I could take on more, provided I’m wearing a cup and if I’m angry enough to beat the snot out of the little buggers.
Wanna see how tough you are? Go take the test yourself
I just want to quit this job. I don’t know if the effort is worth anything at all. It seems that people can work their butts off and struggle to get things done and then some morons higher up can just dismiss it in one step. I have seen it happening to others & me and my teammates. Why do we bother to put up with this? If I had another option in hand, I would walk in tomorrow and threw in the towel and resign on the spot. No notice period, no long good byes. Just Astala Vista baby and go fuck yourselves!!

Speaking of Planet Of The Apes, here is the iconic ending to the movie. The last 3 minutes of a truly wonderful & thought-provoking classic played brilliantly by Charton Heston.
Iconic & legendary actor Charlton Heston, who was famous for playing some larger than life characters on screen, has died at the age of 84 on the 5th. His wife Lydia was by his side on his death in their Beverly Hills home. Heston, who won the 1959 best actor Oscar as the chariot-racing “Ben-Hur”, portrayed Moses, Michelangelo, El Cid and Ben Hur among other heroic figures in movie epics of the ’50s and ’60s.
He liked to cite the number of historical figures he had portrayed: Andrew Jackson (The President’s Lady, The Buccaneer), Moses (The Ten Commandments), title role of El Cid, John the Baptist (The Greatest Story Ever Told), Michelangelo (The Agony and the Ecstasy), General Gordon (Khartoum), Marc Antony (Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra), Cardinal Richelieu (The Three Musketeers), Henry VIII (The Prince and the Pauper).
However, my favourite role of his has got to be that Colonel George Taylor, leader of the doomed scientific expedition in Planet Of The Apes & it’s sequel Beneath The Planet Of The Apes.
I was home alone mostly by myself today. Woke up at 7:30 am and resigned myself to staying at the computer and watching a movie or two or surfing the net. I was able to watch quite a few music videos and live performance clips from Youtube. Breakfast was coffee and some biscuits. Infact biscuits have been my meal for the day, the rice & semi-cooked curry not having any taste at all, so I discarded it. More coffee followed.
I don’t want to be forced to have the company that I keep. The family, the office folks, the relatives. I mean I don’t even like most of these people. The few real friends that I have will always be there when they can. But I prefer to stay alone. I was thinking about how I thought my life would be by the age of 30-32. When I was younger, I always thought that I would be a family man, well settled with a wife and a kid with another baby on the way. But I was in my teens or in my early 20s at that time. I am nowhere close to being where I thought I would be.
It’s not just the money. It’s not just the dissatisfaction at not earning the kind of money that I know I can do if I just had some luck. It’s not just the fact that I am not so sure about this job cause some stupid thing or an idiot might make me go ballistic at the office and I may throw my resignation at their faces and march right out and hence the security of getting a steady source of money might be gone. It’s more to do with the fact that I am lonely and I fill my loneliness with comfort food. Or shutting myself in my room. Or hating the sight of the noise my sister’s kids make when they are here. Or hating myself for not having enough money to live even half the manner in which I want to live on my own.
I am having difficulty in putting my feelings into words. I’m going to try to do that tomorrow but I’ll most probably password protect it, so the faint of heart will not be able to read it.
Yesterday was fun, me & the team went out for lunch. The newer (younger) team members were treating the rest of us and so the 10 of us went to the same restaurant that I had treated the rest of the team at a couple of weeks ago in the cold of the night download . Once again we had to wait for a table, or rather 2 since the 10 of us wouldn’t fit at a 6 seater. This time we ordered a variety of stuff. A couple of the guys and I had chicken biriyani and fish fry – the biggest fish fry piece that I have ever had served on a plate for me before! I mean this was huge, gotta be some kind of shark or whale or some big bad bastard! And man was it tasty! Oh, juicy and tender, I was raving about it so much that some of the others just had to take portions of it.
There was prawns, chicken 65, mutton, fried rice, porotta, paneer and finally some lovely chocolate fruit salad ice cream to round it all off. None of us wanted to go back to the office after that and it being a Saturday afternoon didn’t help us much either. However, go back we did have to and so we did. The rest of the afternoon was spent digesting the heavy meal that we had.
