Well who doesn’t remember this track? Back in the late 1980s – early 1990s Warrant was a huge hit, selling a few million records & constant arena tours in the US. All that changed when Seattle unleashed their many bands and grunge took over. Hair Metal was out but I think Warrant had a lot more to offer. They are still around, although playing mostly clubs and smaller theatres, and making an album every 3 years or so. Here’s their biggest hit Cherry Pie – man that brings back some memories.
Former Gunner Jeremie Aliadiere delivered another blow to Arsene Wenger’s flickering Premier League title hopes by denying Arsenal three precious points in a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium. Stewart Downing was denied a second-half winner by a fine save from Manuel Almunia but the Gunners also had their chances through Robin van Persie and substitute Nicklas Bendtner. Arsenal looked lightweight in striking power, another showcase of the fact that Wenger needs to go out and spend.
Before the match against Boro, the transfer rumours started floating about that Wenger may allow both William Gallas & Bendtner to leave the club next month and freshen up his squad during the transfer window. Juventus has shown an interest in Gallas, who lost his captaincy last month when he critized his teammates publicly. AC Milan and Paris St. Germain have also enquired about the French international defender but Juve seems to be the favourite.
Bendtner has failed to impress at Arsenal and also could be on his way out, although it is not certain as to where. Wenger’s target for strengthening his squad seems to be Liverpool’s midfield Xabi Alonso as well as Salmon Kalou from Chelsea. In latest news winger Ryan Babel has expressed a desire to sent on loan to Ajax as he is not happy without a confirmed starting place and thinks he can sharpen his skills in Ajax. Babel could fit in well within the Arsenel squad and should be a target for Wenger.
A couple had been courting each other for over a year and finally got married. The night after the wedding, the bride woke up alone in bed to the smell of fresh coffee and delicious food. Her husband had taken a shower and was cooking breakfast. She though “I never pictured him as being this type. Lucky me”.
The husband brought breakfast in bed for her. The woman was delighted to see that he had brought the paper & fresh flowers along with breakfast which was – two eggs scrambled, 3 slices of toast, butter, jam, bacon, freshly squeezed orange juice and strong black coffee & cream. Her new husband feed it to her as they browsed the paper.
Satisfied and congratulating herself on the best catch she could ever find, the wife settled back against the pillows and sighed with pleasure. “Was eveything to your satisfaction, dear”? he asked. “Yes, nothing short of excellent honey” she replied. “Good” and he smiled.
