Arsenal FC are in a fucking big mess. And the only ones to blame are that senile idiot Arsene Wenger and the equally moronic board at the club. No ambition, no will to win, no clue as to what the club needs and the fans want! They are so full up their asses that they will ruin what good will is left between the fans and the team. The season has not yet even begun and already Arsenal are ensconced in their first injury crisis. In the past, the Gunners have been struck badly by ill-fortune, robbing them of key players in a spookily systematic manner. However, this time Arsene Wenger and the club must accept a big portion of the blame. This mess is largely of Arsenal’s own making.

At the moment, Arsenal find themselves without a fit senior centre-half. The first to drop out of contention was Per Mertesacker, with a knee ligament injury in July ruling him out of the first half of the campaign. Then a couple of nights ago they lost Gabriel Paulista, who appeared to tweak some ligaments of his own. The incident was an innocuous one some time after the 90th minute, bringing new and painful meaning to the phrase ‘injury time’. The prognosis is currently unclear, but it’s safe to say he’ll miss the start of the season. Throw in the fact that Laurent Koscielny has only just returned to training and the dire nature of the situation swiftly becomes clear. After featuring in every game as France reached the final of Euro 2016, Koscielny and Olivier Giroud were granted several weeks off to rest their bodies and clear their heads. He rejoined the squad on Monday—it’s surely inconceivable that he could be pressed into action this weekend.

Even before the transfer season opened, we knew we needed a solid defender. Now we are desperate for two! Arsenal should have acted far earlier int he summer. Now, time is running out. Wenger often insists that the final two weeks of the window are the optimum time to do a deal. However, there are complications: selling clubs are loathe to let their best players go at a stage of the window when it will be difficult to secure a replacement. Also, clubs will be acutely aware that the urgency of Arsenal’s business grows with each passing day. They can charge a premium price, safe in the knowledge that Wenger now has little choice but to pay up. What’s more, Arsenal’s chase for a centre-back is compromising their other agenda in the transfer window. The club’s need for a new centre-forward is still to be addressed. While making a defender a priority is understandable given the succession of injuries in that position, the failure to recruit a new goalscorer would be a huge blow to Arsenal’s title credentials.

Arsenal should never have let it come to this. The next few weeks now promise to be a nervous period for Wenger and the Gunners fans. Without the necessary recruits, they stand little chance of competing for the Premier League title. And no one seems to want to come to us. No one we target and look to transfer. Clubs know that Wenger is a pussy when it comes to money and transfers so they play hard ball. And Wenger backs out with his equally dickless cronies in the club. Our rivals are upgrading their squads and building their title challenging sides. We are daily rumoured to be interested in this or that player but the morons in charge do nothing to seal up those deal. And finally we are the laughing stock for looking for rejects from Manchester City, Manchester United or Chelsea who are now in lesser sides and struggling there too! What a joke of a club.
