Ice cold beer in large pint glasses
Football with goals and exquisite passes
Star Trek and Stargate and superhero shows
Fighting the big bad evil alien foes
Bacon on burgers and tall ice coffees
Large gourmet pizzas and chocolate toffees
Murder mystery novels and listening to rockers sing
These are a few of my favourite things
Atheist discussions and talking about scientific theories
Sitcoms, Marvel & DC and scifi movies on my tv
Discovering a nice cafe to relax and chill
And not making mountains out of daily molehills
And when it’s really dark and keeping my eyes open feels steep
I find that thinking about my favourite things makes me sleep
I am so tired! I sleep more hours and still feel that I need a couple more hours in the sack. My work schedule is here and there. I have to change my timings regularly now I guess and that plays havoc with my sleep pattern and I end up either sleeping like 7 to 8 hours a day (which to me is not normal) or only sleeping 4 to 5 hours a day as I struggle to fall asleep at a timing that my body is still getting used to.
I will probably change my timings again this coming week. I will do a 6:30 pm shift for a couple of days and then switch to 10:30 pm shift. I might feel more tired doing the latter shift but I feel like I get more time at home to do other things other than just sleep and recover on a daily basis. I don’t feel like going out during the weekends much anymore because of this and feel that it’s better to stay in.
During the weekend staying in and ordering some food and watching some movies in the comfort of my bed sounds so much more better than taking a shower, shaving, going out and enjoying what the city has to offer us most weekends. I will go out this weekend for a movie and dinner but next weekend it will be staying in.
