Arsenal 2 Napoli 0

Arsenal’s Europa League quarter-final tie with Napoli is “still 50-50” according to Gunners boss Unai Emery, despite his side winning the first leg 2-0 at Emirates Stadium. Aaron Ramsey converted Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ pass to finish off a good team move and give the hosts the lead. Kalidou Koulibaly then scored an own goal when he deflected Lucas Torreira’s shot past goalkeeper Alex Meret. The impressive Meret stopped the Gunners winning by more. Napoli, who are second in Serie A, host the Gunners in the second leg next Thursday at the San Paolo Stadium (20:00 BST). “The first leg was very important to take a good result,” said Emery. “We deserved to win, but we know it is going to be very difficult there.

“Their performances at home are usually very strong. We will plan to win the match, but we need to have a lot of respect for them. It is still 50-50. Our challenge is to be competitive away. Sometimes away we lose the spirit we have at home.” Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti said he is still “confident” of progressing to the last four. The only downside of an impressive Arsenal performance is that they did not win by more than two goals to kill the tie off. Ramsey, who is joining Napoli’s Serie A rivals Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the season, had a good game and opened the scoring. A flowing team move from the halfway line involving Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette resulted in Ramsey slotting home Maitland-Niles’ flicked pass from six yards. Torreira helped double their lead when he won the ball off Fabian Ruiz and cut inside the midfielder before hammering in a 20-yard shot which deflected off Koulibaly and was later given as an own goal.

Wales midfielder Ramsey had another two good shots saved by Meret – who also denied Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang three times. Aubameyang was back in the starting line-up after recovering from an illness which has meant he can only be a substitute in recent games. The Gunners continued to push for a third goal after the break and Maitland-Niles’ shot on the bounce was expertly tipped over the bar by Italy Under-21 international Meret – before Ramsey smashed an effort over from 12 yards. Arsenal boss Emery, who won the tournament three years in a row as Sevilla boss, will hope their dominance at Emirates Stadium is enough to take them into the semi-finals, where they would face Villarreal or Valencia. Another bonus of winning the tournament would be a place in next season’s Champions League, with the Gunners currently outside the Premier League’s top four by one point.

SitCom Idea

Idea for a movie or a tv show? A sitcom maybe? Here is mine : It’s about a guy who lives alone in a small cozy house at the end of a small road that ends with a river next to it. He lives in this house with just his dog as his loving and faithful companion who he got as a puppy once he started working from home.

He lives his life with barely any friends that he can meet and that’s because unlike him, his friends are married and have kids and they rarely get chances to have dinner or drinks. But that’s ok since he has a very active online social life that counterbalances his lack of a social life. He wakes up, makes his coffee and takes a shower and shave and then makes breakfast while he feeds the dog. Then he works from 9 am till 1pm, makes lunch and then it’s back to work. In the evening it’s music and coffee and maybe he orders in a pizza or something else while he drinks a beer.

He catches up on his tv shows and watches a movie at night before he and the dog fall asleep. The next day he continues this routine. During the weekends he takes the dog for long walks to the dog park or the beach and buys his groceries and maybe goes for a movie. However he prefers to stay in and buy his dvds / blurays and watch his tv series and movies in the comfort of his home so he still can be with his dog. And one day his life gets turned upside down when a beautiful woman who he has never met before comes to his home. Classic!

Retro Toys That Made A Comeback

Sometimes a sequel or a reboot can suck. It changes how we feel about something. After all the classics are the best. In the last few years, retro games and toys have been making a comeback. With enough of the original charm, and an added splash of modern technology to make it relevant to a whole new audience. Here are a few of the most popular comeback kids.

My Little Pony

They got longer legs, sleeker bodies and in some cases (see Equestria High) they turned into people. The original My Pretty Pony was a massive hit in the 1980s. After all what little girl didn’t dream of owning a pony?

The more recent models have seen the toys come with much more than that original brush or stable. Now you have shoes, capes, combs, wings and so much more. With the significant unicorn trend and even more cartoon channels, My Little Pony is firmly on the must-have list once again.

Furbie

The annoying cute, and sometimes creepy Furbie. Was so popular upon original release that they sold out almost everywhere. Children (and adults) spent hours trying to get their Furbie to say cool things, sing and be happy. Getting together with your mates and making your Furbies chat with their Furbies was the stuff of dreams.

They made a big splash once again in 2012. The newer model was smaller, with many more designs and once again tea-parties with Furbies became a big deal.

Racing Cars

There are a few big racing car brands. They used to just go forward and backwards. But now, the flip, bounce, top and bottom half car work independently and so much more. They cost a pretty penny at the time, and not every primary school going kiddo managed to get one. But there were mini ones that totally rocked.

However, as an adult, there is nothing stopping you bagging a sweet four-wheeled remote control racing car. Check out bestrcgear.com.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Heroes in a half shell – turtle power! The 80s film is a cult classic, as much for its cheesy lines as the real 80s feel of it. The comic was popular too – of course. The new figurines released in recent years had more details than the originals and way more muscle definition.

There was another film released in 2014 that was a smash hit and sparked a new love for TMNT for some and rekindle that fire for others.

LEGO

LEGO has always been pretty popular, but with social media and blogs dedicated to reviewing kids toys and games,, it’s grown into a behemoth. With kits as small as the Lego City Coast Guard Bike and as big as the Millennium Falcon which boasts an impressive 75192 pieces – LEGO isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

Retro toys can bring us back to the time we had them pegged on our own Christmas lists and the feeling we got from playing with them for weeks and months on end. Are there any toys that you just could get enough of when you were younger?

You Aren’t Condemned To A Miserable Existence! How To Make The Most Of Life With Allergies

It is something that can make you completely miserable. When you live with an allergy, whether it’s undiagnosed, or you are prone to plenty of flare-ups it can be a very depressing, not to mention stressful, existence. Whether you are someone that can go into anaphylactic shock, or you have sniffles or cold-like symptoms, living with any form of allergy can feel like a major downer. But are there any keys to living a happier life, without stress, despite suffering?

Isolating The Triggers

Sometimes it’s very straightforward, and the triggers provide an immediate reaction, but when these triggers are in your home, it can be a very difficult thing to isolate. Sometimes if you are developing an allergy, and you don’t know what the cause is, it could be something to do with the chemicals you use in your cleaning products. Or it could be in your food. The most difficult thing when you are suffering from an undiagnosed allergy is to find the root cause by the process of elimination. And the best way to do this is to make a note of when these flare-ups occur. After a while, if you’ve amassed enough evidence, you can then begin to whittle down the root cause. Sometimes the triggers are really straightforward, but sometimes they can take a lot of detective work. And so, by looking at a list of when these flare-ups occur, you can start to isolate the real issue. Sometimes it’s not due to a reaction to a product. It could be stress related. After all, issues like hives and eczema can be the result of stress. As such, do you have something going on in your life that stressful right now? If so, you know what you have to do.

Making The Alterations

If you have an allergy that’s undiagnosed, you can then start to make the necessary changes. When it’s something as straightforward as chemicals, these days, there are many chemical-free alternatives. But when you are using the services of professionals, like carpet cleaners, it can be difficult to find the ones that don’t use chemicals. But, there are green environmentally friendly carpet cleaners out there that use friendly products that won’t flare up allergic reactions. And this is just one example. When you’re making your alterations, luckily, nowadays, there are plenty of options out there so you can live an allergy-free life. This isn’t just in terms of getting rid of the chemicals in your products, but if you are out in public, and you are eating at a restaurant, they are obliged to inform you of any allergens in their food if you ask. This is great for those that suffer from a gluten intolerance or have an allergy to nuts or milk. But the big issue that we all have when we suffer from an allergy and we have to go out in public is that these things are beyond our control. But what we have to do is make the appropriate changes in our life so that they become a learned habit. And this is very difficult at the very beginning of learning to live with an allergy. Because you are used to your old patterns. And if you are someone who’s allergic to bread, and you decide to have some for a treat, you could find that it will make the rest of your day uncomfortable, and could impact you for days to come! So instead, you’ve got to think about making the necessary alterations in your life so that they become a habit. And this can take quite a while. And for something like bread, where it tastes so good, going from that to a gluten-free alternative can be quite a shock, primarily because they can taste disgusting! But, you’ve got to think that if suffering afterward is really worth it. And you know, deep down, it is not.

Learning To Accept Your Allergies

When we are diagnosed with an allergy, especially if it makes us feel pretty miserable, that change in lifestyle can be difficult. Learning to live with the fact that we’ve got some form of allergy can feel like that we are a little bit weaker than everyone else. But, if you have an allergy, you’ve got to think about what keeping the symptoms at bay will do for the rest of your life. And if you suffer from something like a food allergy, and this means that you can’t eat bread for the rest of your life, then surely it’s a small sacrifice? And this is something very important to point out, especially as far as food allergies are concerned. Because we have to slow up proceedings in a restaurant by asking for the gluten-free menu, it can feel like we are making a mountain out of a molehill. But you know how you will feel if you decide to throw caution to the wind and have some bread. And it sounds like a very strange thing, that eating a simple morsel of bread will cause uncomfortable sensations, and you may have to spend the whole of the next day in bed. But these people don’t know how it affects you. But in this respect, we can feel somewhat embarrassed that we have an allergy, especially if it’s just something that is so common. But food allergies are on the rise, and the fact that there are more food options that don’t have milk or nuts or wheat highlights just how common it is.

It’s difficult to make the most of life when we have a lot of allergies, but if we are constantly sneezing, or we just feel headachy all of the time, it’s important to get these allergies diagnosed. Sometimes we don’t think it is an allergy, and it’s just the way we are. But the amazing thing that happens, once you’ve made these alterations to your life, is that you feel so fantastic in comparison to before, you wonder how you managed to even get by before! Living with allergies doesn’t mean you are condemned to a miserable existence.

Your Home Deserves A Glam Up!

Every so often, many things in our life undergo a glow up. Ourselves, our technology, our car, our place of work… it’s just impossible for things to stay the same way for this amount of time, so every so often things move forward a little bit. Now, one of the best places that we think this happens, is within your home. There will no doubt be daily occasions where you notice things that you would like to change. Perhaps there are stains dotted on your carpet that have been getting on your nerves for the longest amount of time now. Or perhaps you’ve had the same decor that you’ve got for too long. Or perhaps the outside of your home is flagging a little, and although it won’t annoy you as much as the inside does, you still know that something definitely needs to be changed. But knowing how to glam up your home without spending a ton of money, or without thinking that you’re going to make it look 10x worse, is something that’s hard to do. A home is hard to maintain as it is, so doing it cheaper is something you definitely need to find your feet with. So, here are our top ways that we think your home can go through the glam up that it deserves!

Let’s Start With The Outside

The outside of your home is just as important as the inside. You might think that the inside of your home takes a bit of a battering, especially if you have children or pets running around, but think about what the outside of your home has to put up with. It has to put up with so many batterings from the weather and what not, it can easily become a little run down over the years. One of the first things that you’ll notice that wears down a little, will be your windows. You might start to notice that the integrity of them starts to go, and you might even notice a little bit of a draft coming through from the inside. A new window or two could work wonders for both the inside, and the outside of your home. From the outside, it would look far more aesthetically pleasing for you to have some new ones installed, and from the inside, you’d notice that your home is far more toasty and warm compared to what it has been. You might even notice that your energy bills start to drop a little! But other than getting new windows, you should just focus on the general upkeep on the front and back of your home. At the front you could have lovely hanging flower baskets, and fresh cut lawn. At the back you could have the same, but you can get a little more adventurous with the garden accessories and bushes and trees that you put down!

Crucial Interior Glam Ups

So, enough about the outside, this is the one that most of you will probably be interested in. Interior glam ups are so easy to sort, you just have to know what your style is, and what your home is missing at the minute. Simply getting some new carpets and changing the wallpaper could be all the glam up that you need. Not only does the new carpet smell keep your home feeling new and fresh for weeks, but it really does help to bring a lifeless room back to life. We know getting carpets installed can be expensive, but it’s not exactly a purchase you’re making every single year, so it will be worth the investment you put in. Nothing screams glam up like getting to know the accessories that are on trend at the minute. From furniture accessories to tiny cute items that add a little bit of character to your home, they are all they. At the minute, we’re really loving wicker furniture. It doesn’t suit every home, so if you know it won’t suit you, glass alternatives are also really in at the minute, and help to make a home look super sophisticated. Indoor plants are also staying for good it would seem, with so many people using them as a form of decor now. Whilst this is what they’re good for in the home, they’re also great for keeping your mind calm, and adding a little bit of colour to your room where you might not have been able to before! But think about your sense of style as well. If you’re someone who hates the idea of colour in your home, there are so many neutral trends shining through at the minute, much of which can be seen on Instagram. But if you’re someone who loves the vibrance of colour, you need to be careful that you’re not making your home look too crazy, so adding subtle colour in each room is advised, perhaps through things such as paintings.

Save Yourself Some Money

In this day and age, people are always looking for ways to save money, and we can totally understand why. Saving money is so important, especially when your home is already going to be costing you so much. So to save money when your home is going through a glam up, you should try and keep things being done yourself, as much as possible. Some people spend fortune on jobs that could be done by themselves, such as changing the wallpaper. But if you’re worried about buying new furniture etc. because of money, you could always think about upcycling. This is the next best thing. It really can help transform your home, without you having to hardly spend a penny!

An Instagrammable Home

Even though that might not be a word, pretty much everyone knows what it means. Having an Instagrammable home is one that’s so picture perfect, you just can’t help but take pictures of it. There are so many Instagram pages that will show you exactly what an Instagrammable home is, and it’s so easy to make little changes to your own to get it the way you want it to look!

Make Your Home Exterior Stand Out More

First impressions are important and for many people, the exterior of your home is the first thing they will see that reflects you and your family. Whether you are trying to add curb appeal to your home for potential purchasers, or you just want it to look good in your neighborhood, there are many things you can do to make it unique but still that it belongs where it is.

The secret is to make sure that any materials you use are long lasting as well as pleasing to the eye. Then the outside of your home will not need much work doing to it on an annual basis.

Look At Your Roof

A roof should last many years whether it is made from wood, shingle, metal, or slate. You should check it out every year to see if any repairs are needed but generally, that is not very often.  If there are a few slates need replacing have them done now before something minor turns into a major repair.

While checking out your roof, have your gutters cleaned. If they get blocked with debris, any rainwater will not be able to reach the drains and that can result in nasty watermarks on the inside and outside of your home.

Windows

When you are choosing windows for your home they should always suit the style of the house. They should be durable and you should also consider ventilation and UV rating.  You need to know if they will be easy to reach to clean and what sort of view they will offer.

At Renewal By Andersen, for example,  they design and custom make windows especially for your home, so you can get the exact quality and style you want to complement your home. Keep them clean and well-maintained and it will make a huge difference to the exterior of your home.

Make A Good Entrance

Even if someone does not enter your home they will be able to see the entrance. Make sure your front door is in good condition. If the paint is peeling, you need to sand the wood and repaint it. If you have a UPVC front door, you could give it a good clean to bring it back to the color it should be. Polish all the door furniture or replace it if it has started to degrade.

If you have a porch around your front door make sure that the condition of that is good too. Check the floor and any other parts for loose pieces that need repairing or replacing. Perhaps have a welcome mat and a light next to the door for when it is dark. A few plants on a porch can look welcoming as well. If the porch is large enough, have a bench or two to sit on. It can be a great way to enjoy the evening sun and get to know some of your close neighbors.

While you are checking out your front door do not forget to look at the garage as well. Garage doors that need attention can spoil the whole look of a home.  The garage roof should also be looked at.

If you have to walk from the outside of your garage to the front door, some sensor lights to illuminate your way are a good idea. This can help to prevent you from tripping over something that has been left out in error.

Clean Paths And Driveways

Any path and driveways you have should be cleaned with a jet-washing machine. One of these will remove any stains and lift any weeds that have sprung up in gaps. It will also remove any sand that is between slabs or stones and you should replace that once the path or driveway has dried. Re-sanding will help to prevent any weeds growing again too quickly.

Paths and driveways treated in this way will look as good as new and enhance the appearance of the exterior of your home.

Attend to The Garden

If you have some lawn at the front of your home make sure it is mowed and the edges are trimmed. Take the weeds out of any flowerbeds or borders and trim back any trees and shrubs. Any visitors to your home should not have to step over shrubs that have taken over a path, for example.

Plants can add much color and beauty to the outside of your home and it is worth doing some research to find out which ones will grow the best in your area and in the type of soil you have.  If you are uncertain what ones to buy, take some advice from the local garden store, as they are generally very knowledgeable about these things.

If the front of your home does not have any garden but is totally hard, consider putting window boxes on the sills. These are very cheap to buy and simple to maintain and can add some color to your home.

Fences

Some homes have an open front and others are fenced off. If you have a fence around your home make sure it is in good condition. A wooden fence may need some attention as it can suffer from the extremes of the weather.  Metal or plastic fencing might just need a good clean, but fencing that is not cared for won’t help toward making the exterior of your home stand out.

Designing The Outside Of Your Home

Before you start any work on the outside of your home you should make a list of the things you want to do and decide how you want it to look when you have finished. This will let you work out a budget for what it will cost and then you can see what is affordable and what if not.

However, there are many things about the outside of your home that need time and effort rather than money. The more you can do yourself, the lower the cost will be, but there are always things that it is best to bring the experts in for or you could end up spending more putting your efforts right.

Another 15 Crazy / Weird Laws In The USA

Kansas: Despite the fact that the law explicitly outlaws the throwing of snowballs, Topeka mayor Bill Bunten made international headlines in 2005 when he declared his intention to overthrow the ban in a hail of powdery projectiles.

Kentucky: Some places have a tradition of selling artificially dyed chicks and baby bunnies around Easter, but not Kentucky. At least, not if you’re selling less than six at a time.

Louisiana: When you’re down in the Big Easy, nothing hits the spot like a big bowl of jambalaya. Word to the wise, though: If prepared “in the traditional manner for public consumption,” the dish is not bound to follow certain sanitation codes.

Maine: If you’re playing beano in Maine (not that Beano; it’s a game not unlike bingo), you should feel free to take all of the bathroom breaks you need. The beano conductor will play your hand for you unless you’re playing high-stakes beano.

Maryland: Pottymouths should watch themselves the next time they’re on the Eastern seaboard. In Rockville, Maryland, they’ll face a $100 fine for cursingon a sidewalk or road.

Massachusetts: You know how everywhere “The Star-Spangled Banner” is played, a dance party breaks out? Not in Massachusetts, where it is strictly forbidden to dance to the national anthem.

Michigan: Some states put down strict laws about when and where you can sell alcoholic beverages and other controlled substances, but in Michigan, it’s cars that can’t be sold on Sundays.

Minnesota: It might sound like a lot of fun, but oiled-pig catching contestsare absolutely not allowed in Minnesota. The same law outlaws turkey scrambles, when the unfortunate bird is thrown into the air and players rush to catch it.

Mississippi: Okay, this is a very bizarre law (and one made specifically to make a political point). In 2013, governor Phil Bryant signed into law a declaration that no one could ever restrict the size of a cup for sugary drinks.

Missouri: If a bull or ram of a certain age is able to roam free for three days or more, at least three townsfolk report it, and the owner does not claim it, then anyone can feel free to capture and castrate it without facing liability for damages.

Montana: Our favorite laws are the ones that offer a glimpse of what life was like in eras past. Apparently, in Montana’s past, train jackers stopping a locomotive with a herd of grazing animals was a major problem.

Nebraska: To be perfectly frank, this law seems illegal, immoral, and hard to enforce. But if you’re following the letter of the law, then anyone with a sexually transmitted disease is forbidden to get married.

Nevada: Back before we wrapped our minds around how dangerous radiation could be, every shoe store was outfitted with an X-ray-based fitting machine. But you won’t find any in Nevada — they’ve been outlawed since 1960.

New Hampshire: In New Hampshire, the seaweed that washes onshore can be collected and turned into fertilizer for a profit. But if you’re thinking of heading out to the beach in the early hours before the crowds, think again — you can’t collect seaweed at night.

New Jersey: Bulletproof vests are legal in New Jersey unless you’re wearing one while committing a crime. In other words, bank robbery is super illegal, but it’s even more illegal if you have body armor on.

Everton 1 Arsenal 0

Phil Jagielka scored the only goal as Everton beat Arsenal at Goodison Park to claim their third consecutive Premier League win. Jagielka, who was called into the starting XI as a replacement for Michael Keane shortly before kick-off, poked home early on following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s header from Lucas Digne’s long throw. Arsenal were poor in the first half and, while they did improve in the second, they never seriously tested Jordan Pickford in the Toffees goal. Everton, meanwhile, had plenty of chances to double their lead in the second half as Bernard, Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson all spurned chances. Victory for Everton means they leapfrog Watford into ninth while Arsenal remain in fourth.

Everton only announced Jagielka was starting 15 minutes before kick-off – a late replacement for Keane who dropped out of the matchday squad due to illness. But it only took the club captain 10 minutes to get on the scoresheet as he capitalised on confusion in the Arsenal box to fire home his first goal since April 2017 from close range. The hosts went on to dominate for much of the first half with Brazilian pair Richarlison and Bernard causing problems as they found plenty of space in behind the Gunners’ wing-backs.

While the visitors did improve after the break with the introduction of Aaron Ramsey and Pierre Emerick-Aubemeyang, the Toffees were still largely the better side. Bernard should have doubled his side’s lead on 59 minutes when an error by Ainsley Maitland-Niles presented him with a one-on-one with Bernd Leno which the keeper saved well. And there were more chances for the hosts as the game drew to a close, too, as Sigurdsson could only shoot straight at Leno from Richarlison’s cut-back, while the Brazilian skewed his own effort wide with the goal gaping.

There were further opportunities for Bernard, Andre Gomes and substitute Theo Walcott as the Toffees piled on the pressure but they could not find a second goal. However, they were not made to pay for their lack of cutting edge as they claimed a victory which sees them string together three consecutive league wins for only the second time this season and the first since October.

2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Stanley Cup playoffs are set to begin play Wednesday.

In the East, the Tampa Bay Lightning have to be the favorites after tying the Detroit Red Wings’ regular-season wins record set during the 1995-96 season. But seven really good hockey clubs are aiming for the Bolts.

In the West, Calgary has been at the top of the standings for the final third of the season, but the Flames aren’t a must-bet favorite like Tampa in the East. Winnipeg, Nashville and Vegas have been up and down but could all tear apart the West with a month of stellar play.

Shazam!

Shazam! is a 2019 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by New Line Cinema and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is the seventh installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Directed by David F. Sandberg from a screenplay by Henry Gayden, and a story by Gayden and Darren Lemke, the film stars Asher Angel as Billy Batson, a teenage boy who can transform into an adult superhero, played by Zachary Levi. Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Djimon Hounsou also star. It is the first live-action film version of the character since the 1941 serial Adventures of Captain Marvel (the character’s original name).

In 1974 Thaddeus Sivana (is the family Tamilian?) is a young boy who gets bullied by his father and elder brother for not being as tough as they are. is magically transported to the Rock of Eternity, a magical temple in another dimension, by the ancient wizard Shazam. Shazam explains that he has spent centuries searching for a new champion who is “pure of heart,” after his first turned evil and unleashed the Seven Deadly Sins upon the ancient world. The Sins, now trapped in statues within the Rock, tempt Thaddeus with promises of power, and the boy is banished back to Earth as unworthy to be the champion. We are then introduced to present day and 14 year old Billy Batson, a foster kid who was lost in a carnival while with his single mom several years ago. He is still looking for his mom and gets into trouble as he steals data from a cop car to track women with the same name as his mom.

Billy is sent to yet another foster home, run by Victor and Rosa Vazquez, former foster kids themselves. At their house they have 5 other foster kids :  Mary, Pedro, Eugene, Darla, and Billy’s new roommate Freddy Freeman. Billy does not warm to his new family, and Pedro discovers Billy’s notes for his search. Elsewhere in Philly, Dr. Thad Sivana is researching the symbols and conducting interviews with others who have had encounters with the wizard Shazam. He finally discovers how to return to the Rock of Eternity. He steals the Eye of Sin from the Rock, freeing the Sins and becoming their champion. Sivana uses his new powers to attack the Wizard and kill his abusive father and brother in an awesome scene in the boardroom. Billy meanwhile saves Freddy from bullies but is chased by them and escapes in a subway. He is pulled to the wizard’s realm and is chosen to become the new champion. Billy is transformed into an adult with an array of superpowers. By saying “Shazam!” Billy can change back and forth between teenager and adult superhero. With the help of Freddy, an amateur superhero expert, Billy begins to learn the full extent of his newfound powers.

After Freddy brags to their classmates about knowing Shazam, Billy abandons him and skips school to entertain fans as Shazam for money. After seeing Shazam save a bus on the news, Sivana attacks him, demanding he give up his power. The untested Shazam is easily defeated but transforms back into Billy to escape into the fleeing crowd. Sivana does manage to capture Freddy, who is forced to tell Sivana where they live. The other kids realize that Billy is Shazam! and reveal to Billy that they have found Billy’s mother living nearby. Billy runs away to finally meet his mother, whom he learns intentionally abandoned him years ago. Meanwhile, Sivana turns up to the Vazquez home with Freddy, and forces Freddy to call Billy. Billy returns home as Shazam and agrees to give Sivana his powers in exchange for sparing his family’s lives. However, Freddy and the other kids follow Shazam and Sivana to the Rock of Eternity and attack Sivana. This gives Shazam and the kids time to escape and realize that when the Sins leave his body, Sivana is mortal and can be hurt.

Sivana chases Shazam and the kids to a Winter Carnival, where Sivana unleashes the Sins on them and the carnival goers. Shazam shares his powers with his foster siblings, causing them to also become adult superheroes with powers. While Freddy, Mary, and the others keep the Sins busy, Shazam fights with Sivana himself, defeating him by drawing the only Sin still housed in Sivana’s body out of him, leaving him powerless. Shazam and his family are hailed as heroes, and Billy embraces his foster family as his true family. Billy also shows up at school as Shazam to endorse Freddy before revealing he also brought a friend: Superman. In a mid-credits scene, Sivana is recruited into a partnership with the caterpillar-like creature Mister Mind. In a post-credits scene, Freddy tests whether Shazam can talk to fish, citing Aquaman, only for Shazam to dismiss the power as stupid.

Very kid & family friendly, funny and packed with action this is a really good summer release and I can see lots of families going in to enjoy a couple of hours of harmless fun & entertainment. Compared to the previous more darker DCEU films, with the possible exception of Aquaman, this film comes as a really refreshing change of pace. I’d give it an 8.5 outta 10!

Partying In Hotel Hill Palace

Yesterday was the quarterly get-to-ether of our department at the office I work at. This is a team of about 25 folks and some, not me, look forward to this dinner and gathering in a nice hotel where we book a hall or conference room and there are speeches, presentations and awards given for the performance during that quarter and then play some funny games and play music while we have dinner from the buffet.

Me, I am not a big office party kinda guy. Anways, I was working the morning shift and hence I wanted to go home as soon as possible yet I had to stay back. I waited in the office till almost 7 pm when me and a colleague of mine booked an Uber and went to Hotel Hill Palace which is about 6 kms away. It is a 5 star hotel and on the 3rd floor we had a conference haul booked for us. The function started and it was all fun and games until dinner time. I had a little soup, naan and rice with butter chicken and fish tikka masala and skipped desert as I wanted to leave by 9:30 pm.

I said my goodbyes and then booked an Ola ride from there to my home and reached by 10pm. And as the elevator was on the fritz for the past 4 days I made my long and tiring 7 floor walk up to my apartment and then washed away my sweat and dirt from the day and relaxed in front of the laptop.

15 Crazy / Weird Laws In The USA

Alabama: Going to church? Take off that ridiculous fake mustache if you do — unless, of course, you don’t intend to cause laughter. In that case, it’s all good.

Alaska: In Fairbanks, Alaska, it’s illegal to serve alcohol to a moose. Which seems reasonable, but why did they have to make a law?

Arizona: Your donkey has to sleep somewhere, but it’s not allowed in the bathtub. This dates back to a tub-sleeping donkey who was washed away in a flood in 1924 (he survived, but they passed the law anyway).

Arkansas: You’ll need a permit to feed your garbage to any pigs you happen to meet out in the world. If they’re your own pigs, go for it.

California: If your frog dies during a frog-jumping competition, you’ll obviously be distraught. The good news is that it’s illegal for any of your rivals to eat your late amphibian.

Colorado: A porch might look inviting, but don’t put a couch out there. This law was put in place to prevent college students from lighting couch bonfires.

Connecticut: There’s not technically a law stating that pickles must be able to bounce in Connecticut, but a high-profile case of pickle fraud in 1948 revealed that the Food and Drug commissioner used the bounce test to test fake pickles.

Delaware: Cat shavers beware: You will not be able to sell your ill-gotten fur in the state of Delaware.

Florida: Most places, a “Beware of Dog” sign is just a fair warning and a crime deterrent. But in Florida, you can hang a “Bad Dog” sign in your yard and be absolved of any responsibility for canine attacks.

Georgia: Sort of like those Floridian dogs, Georgian llamas have carte blanche to wreak as much havoc as they care to. With very few exceptions, anyone who “engages in a llama activity” forfeits any liability on the part of the llama owner for injuries they might sustain as a result.

Hawaii: It might be a little unusual, but we’re going to come right out and say the Hawaiian laws against billboards are a pretty good idea. Nothing kills the tropical vibes like a gaudy advertisement.

Idaho: Again under the banner of laws we aren’t sure they needed to put into writing, Idaho wants you to know in no uncertain terms that cannibalism is against the law, except “under extreme life-threatening conditions as the only apparent means of survival.” Maybe it’s weirder that this is the only state that does outlaw it.

Illinois: Illinois is (mostly) landlocked, but it still has a problem with excessive fish and amphibian ownership. No one may own more than $600 worth of aquatic creatures — that’s about 75 salamanders, if you’re curious.

Indiana: In French Lick Springs, Indiana, a 1939 ordinance decreed that all black cats must wear bells on any Friday the 13th. It isn’t clear if the law is still on the books or not, but this might trump the time an Indiana man tried to legally redefine pi as 3.2.

Iowa: The pride of every Iowa State Fair is the one and only butter cow (and its attendant butter statues). So it’s not surprising that they take butter fraud veryseriously. If you’re spreading margarine or oleo, you’d better not claim to have the real deal.

On Libraries

Let’s talk about libraries and librarians! How have they impacted your life?

Libraries – I don’t think I can find even one in the city area but I used to have a membership in 3 libraries from the age of 12 to maybe 24-25. One was a very poor one in terms of selection but it was in a building that had the best supermarket (of sorts but that was what we had back then) and also a small restaurant that served some real good food as well as a library, a laundromat and a novelty shop in the first floor. Also I do remember reading some really memorable books from there.

The second one was in another part of the city and they had a poor selection too and they barely had enough stuff to entertain us. But the third one was the best – huge selection of foriegn magazines, novels, non-fiction books, comics (I especially used to love to get their Archies Double Digests, TinTin & Asterix comics; now I have the latter two collections on a digital format). Also this was a place that I used to meet my then girlfriend on a regular basis.

How have they impacted my life? Before getting the internet at home I was a voracious reader and I read a lot of novels, some biographies and autobiographies and a lot of magazines and comics. I have lost myself in the stories and been given so much entertainment and knowledge and yeah my vocabulary has expanded based on these books. And I am eternally thankful for that.

3 Ways To Make Your Home Completely Yours

When you buy a home, it can be the case that there is a lingering feeling that it isn’t really yours. If you are finding yourself in that situation at the moment, then you might be looking for some advice on how you can get rid of this feeling. If so, you have come to the right place because we are going to be looking at some ideas to help you in this article. Let’s take a look at three of the ways that you can make your home completely yours!

Your Own Space

The first thing that you need to realize is that your home is your space, but even though this is true, if you live with others, this might not feel like it is. In that case, you need to make sure that you have your own space in the house. To do this, all you need to do is find a spare room in the house and make it into yours! Add the things you love in there so that you really feel like you are at home the second you walk in there. If you are a fan of art, make sure that your room is filled with art and craft equipment. Likewise, if you are into games then do the same for this theme!

There are no rules when it comes to what you can have in here as long as it makes you feel happy whenever you see it. You might not think it now, but this is going to go a long way to ensuring that you make your home completely yours.

Something New

Or, you might just feel as though the entire home belongs to something else because you have largely the same home now as when you bought it. This could be things such as wallpaper, any furniture that they left behind and so on. If this is the case, then the solution is simple! You need to get some new stuff. For some people, this isn’t as easy as going to the store and picking up some things that they like. Money comes into play here, and when you have just bought a house, you might not have any to spare, but you need to make this change, or you could find yourself feeling like an outsider in your own home. You can always use a service such as Snappy Loans to get yourself the cash until you get paid, but do be sure to check the full terms and conditions before you go through with this agreement.

Personal Items

The final thing that we are going to talk to you about is having personal items in your home. Images of your friends and family are a must if you want to feel as though you are in your own home. The same thing applies to things such as art pictures that you like, decorations and so on. If you want to feel like you are in your own space, then it needs to be decorated with the things that you love!

We hope that you have found this article helpful, and will use the advice above to make your home completely yours!
