My Solitude

Where do you go when you need solitude?

Usually to my room. I live in a small 3 bedroom apartment with my folks therefore it’s not a big gap like how we had it when we lived in my parents big house in Thrikkakara. My parents mostly stayed on the ground floor and I had the top floor all to myself for many years after my sister got married and moved out. There were 4 rooms there, 3 bedrooms with bathrooms attached and 1 common room/library/computer room.

That’s a lot of room and here it’s just a single room. But it’s still a place of solitude and if my folks are not at home – either they are staying over at my sister’s place or in Chalakudy or visiting relatives in Bangalore or Trivandrum – it becomes the equivalent of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. When I cannot get that from time to time I have to find alternative sources.

But that is expensive. I would like to book a hotel room and other than room service, I don’t have to meet anyone for the 2 or 3 days that I can afford to stay in there. That gives me some peace and quite and I hope I can do again soon. Because I need it.

Arsenal Transfer & Rumours – 20 June 2019

After much speculation over his future, Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina has made the permanent switch to Napoli, having spent the season on loan with the Italian side last year. The sale will be a significant boost to Unai Emery’s transfer budget and the wage bill at the Emirates Stadium. The price that was initially agreed as a permanent clause in the loan deal last summer but was rumoured to be unacceptable to Napoli this summer. Earlier this summer, it was believed that Ospina would leave for £3 million. An extra £1 million has been earned, purely through negotiating.

Arsenal have stepped up transfer their interest in Kieran Tierney to replace ageing left-back Nacho Monreal. Unai Emery is convinced the young Scot, 22, can make the step-up to the Premier League and add some much needed full-back talent. The Gunners were sorely lacking in quality on the flanks last season – an area Emery is keen to address. Serie A giants have also made enquiries for the £25million-rated Celtic left-back and are well aware of the Gunners’ long-standing interest. Boss Carlo Ancelotti is hugely impressed with Tierney’s pedigree. At just 22 he’s already won eight major honours, including two Trebles, made over 150 club appearances, starred in the Champions League and Europa League while also earning 12 Scotland caps.

Arsenal are eyeing a deal for Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, writes Mike McGrath. The 18-year-old is being chased by Juventus and Lazio in Italy butUnai Emery has joined the race for the youngster. Szoboszlai has attracted interest from Europe’ top clubs after his stunning form in Austria, which has earned him four caps for Hungary. Salzburg are determined to keep their prized asset and it could take £15million to get him this window, as he has three years left on his contract. They landed him for just £400,000 two years ago from FC Liefering and stand to make a massive profit on the teenager.

BRISTOL CITY, Charlton and Augsburg are all interested in taking Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah on loan next season. The forward, 20, played one hour of Prem football last season and it is thought another year of bench warming will not help his development. He scored one senior goal for the Gunners last season, scoring in the final minute of Arsenal’s league season to seal the win at Burnley.

World’s Most Famous Cocktails And Expensive Whiskey

In this blog post, we’re going to talk about some people’s favorite topic: alcohol! From crafty cocktails to expensive whiskey, let’s go…

When you go to a bar, are you the type of person to immediately grab the cocktail menu? A lot of people enjoy doing this, as it gives them the opportunity to taste unique drink creations. There are lots of tricks when it comes to being a good bartender, from knowing how to properly store wine to knowing when to stir or shake. However, the first step is to learn the classics.

Needless to say, some cocktails are more popular than others and have consequently become classics. Here are four cocktails which fit that mould…

Old Fashioned

Let’s begin with an Old Fashioned. You will find this cocktail in a variation of forms all over the world. This is due to its old history, as you have probably gathered by the name. Essentially, any drink that is a blend of spirits, liquor, water, sugar and bitters, constitutes as an Old Fashioned. Since the original recipe allows spirits of any kind, it’s not uncommon for you to see this drink made with anything from whiskey, to rum, to brandy, to tequila.

Bloody Mary

You can go to any bar and you will always find someone ordering a Bloody Mary. This is undoubtedly one of the most popular cocktails and it’s a very distinct one as well. The main ingredients of this cocktail are vodka and tomato juice. However, you will often find added ingredients designed to provide that extra bit of spice, such as Cayenne pepper and/or Tabasco sauce. A stick of celery is often added to balance out the cocktail. This is the sort of drink you either love or hate.

Irish Coffee

If you are looking for a warm and comforting drink to help you through the winter months, an Irish Coffee is a perfect choice. This is one of the easiest drinks to make, as it only contains a few ingredients. You simply need freshly brewed coffee, simple syrup and a good dash of Irish whiskey. Finish off with some whipped cream and you are good to go. Delicious.

Whiskey Sour

Last on the list of best selling cocktails is a Whiskey Sour. This is a refreshing cocktail that is enjoyed all over the world. Of course there are many types of whiskey to choose from, but when creating this cocktail you should opt for either rye or bourbon. Mix with a teaspoon of sugar and some freshly-squeezed lemon juice and you have a simple yet delicious cocktail. A lot of people opt to add orange juice or even an egg white if they are feeling adventurous.

World’s most expensive whiskey

Would you spend more than $6,000,000 for a bottle of Scotch? For most people, the sheer thought seems absurd. But, for those with a taste for the lavish, it can certainly appeal. Irrespective of what category you fall into, there’s one thing everyone wants to know… Is it really worth it?

Well, let’s find out! Below you will find a list of the five most expensive whiskies, with some information about the characteristics of each one.

5. Dalmore 64 Trinitas

First on the list of expensive Scotches is Trinitas. Selling for $160,100, this was actually the first ever Scotch to sell for six figures. It combines rare stocks of spirits dating from 1939, 1926, 1878 and 1868. There are actually only three bottles of this type of Scotch whiskey that have ever been made.

4. Dalmore 62 Single Hiland Malt Scotch

This rare Dalmore 62 Single Hiland Malt Scotch has quickly increased in value. In 2005 it was purchased by a UK businessmen at Singapore’s Changi Airport. He spent $58,000 for the bottle, which was admittedly a bargain at the time. Nonetheless, when sold he profited by almost $200,000 by selling it for $250,000.

3. Macallan 64 Year Old in Lalique

Third on the list we have Macallan 64 Year Old in Lalique. This is a rare whiskey that was sold at a New York auction in 2010 for $460,000. The crystal decanter is a collectible in itself. It’s one of a kind.

2. Macallan ‘M’ Whiskey

Imagine walking into one of the best bars and being charged £628,205 for a bottle of whiskey! This is what one buyer forked out to obtain this Macallan blend. What makes this Scotch different from the rest is the fact that it is selected from an assortment of casks that range from 25 years to 75 years of age. Nevertheless, this was not the only attractive factor, as the hand-blown decanter took over 50 hours and the work of 17 craftsmen to complete. It is only one of four Constantine bottles in existence.

  1. Isabella’s Islay

Last but not least, the most expensive Scotch is Isabella’s Islay. This will set you back a whopping $6,200,000. But, not only will you get to experience an exquisite single-malt, but you will also be lavished in diamonds. In 2010, the Luxury Beverage Company in the UK released a primo bottle covered in diamonds, which of course added immensely to the price tag. The bottle boasts 8,500 diamonds and 300 rubies. As a consequence, Isabella’s Islay receives more attention for the bottle than the whiskey that is inside.

Thinking About Your Future Wellbeing

Living in the present is important when it comes to your physical and mental wellbeing, but that doesn’t mean you should completely disregard the future. We’re all probably a little guilty of doing this. However, whilst it’s important to think about your present needs or simply treat yourself to the occasional luxury, giving a little thought towards tomorrow could make a huge difference to your life. In this article, we’ll discuss some ways in which you could start thinking about your future wellbeing.

Create a better living environment.

A good step towards a healthier present, as well as a healthier future, is to create a better living environment for you and your family. Your surroundings have a big impact on your mental wellbeing as well as your physical wellbeing, so make sure that your home feels warm and welcoming. Its interior design plays a big part in this, so don’t dismiss the importance of making spaces feel personalised to your tastes. You might even want to plant some fruit and vegetables in your garden. This would give you some organic and healthy homegrown food to enjoy, but it’d also give you a project to keep you invested in your garden. If you want to start thinking about your future wellbeing then you should aim to create a household that’ll keep you and your family physically and mentally healthy for years to come. Don’t settle for a house that doesn’t feel like home.

Find your drive.

Many of us are told by others what constitutes a good life. It often comes down to finding a decent job, buying a nice house, and so on. But many people end up settling for jobs that make them unhappy just so they achieve financial stability. However, unhappiness surely can’t be the goal in life. You need to find your drive if you want to start thinking about your future wellbeing. You need to find something that motivates you and gives you purpose. Perhaps you have a creative passion that you want to pursue such as writing books or making music. Perhaps you have a spiritual passion or religious beliefs that you want to pursue. You might want to read about finding the right Shul if you have Jewish heritage. Our roots are important. The most important thing of all is listening to our minds. What gives you purpose in life? Don’t suppress your true self.

Eat and drink well.

One of the best ways to think about your future wellbeing is to improve your diet. Obviously, this will improve your current wellbeing too, but it’s important to start looking ahead when it comes to your dietary health. Make sure you eat plenty of organic food; your diet should be full of fruit, vegetables, legumes, and so on. That’s how you’ll get the high-fibre starchy carbs, protein, iron, and other vitamins and nutrients you need. When we were young, many of us could probably eat junk food without facing the consequences, but the negative effects start to become a little clearer as we get older and even the slightest amount of unhealthy food seems to majorly expand your waistline. For starters, make sure you drink plenty of water. In the modern world, it’s easy to rely on coffee and alcohol for their stimulating effects, but you shouldn’t cut water out of your diet. Artificial alternatives such as soft drinks and coffee are not only pumped full of additives, caffeine, and other substances that negatively impact your health; they’re also nowhere near as effective at hydrating you as a glass of water.

Arsenal Transfer News – 17 June 2019

Arsenal have reached an agreement with William Saliba over a transfer to the Emirates, but must now agree a fee with Saint-Etienne, according to reports in France. The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the 18-year-old defender in recent weeks, as have Manchester United and Manchester City. However, it looks like Unai Emery’s side have won the race for the Frenchman, with Foot Mercato reporting that they have agreed a five-year deal with the teenager. That agreement has only been made with the player, though, and the signing is not confirmed as a deal is yet to be stuck with his club.

Arsenal will reportedly refuse to sell star midfielder Lucas Torreira this summer amid interest from Serie A side AC Milan. The 23-year-old has been linked with a return to Italy just a year after he joined the Gunners from Sampdoria for £26million. These rumours are mainly fueled by reports that his wife is unhappy in England and would like to return  to Italy. Lucas himself said he struggled to adjust to life in England. Former Sampdoria boss Marco Giampaolo is set to succeed Gennaro Gattuso at the San Siro, with the 51-year-old believed to be keen on a reunion with the Uruguayan international. Meanwhile, David Ospina is leaving Arsenal for £3.5million — after Napoli took up their option to buy the keeper.

Colombian international Ospina impressed boss Carlo Ancelotti on loan at the Serie A side last term. Ospina, 30, cost the Gunners £3.2m from Nice in 2014 but will now join Napoli permanently. He was sent on loan in Naples at the beginning of the season after German stopper Bernd Leno arrived at the Emirates for £22.5million. Ospina made 24 appearances for Napoli last term keeping eight clean sheets. Loan star Krystian Bielik insists he will quit the Emirates unless he gets first-team football and will “definitely not go back to Arsenal Under-23s”. The Poland Under-21 star, who was outstanding in helping Charlton win promotion back to the Championship this season, claims he should now be treated as a “senior player”.

Evening Out, Met A Friend

It has been a couple of weeks since I had gone out for an afternoon or an evening and this weekend I had planned to go out to Lulu on Sunday morning. But I slept very late and hence work up only by 11 am. So I though let’s chuck that and relax at home till the evening. I watched a movie and a half in the afternoon after lunch and then showered and shaved I had coffee and sat watching Youtube till 6:45 pm. I booked an Uber and went to Cocoa Tree for a nice snicker shake and some fries while I played bowling on my phone.

IMG_20190616_193544

After an hour I went to Center Mall and I had to visit the loo. Then I washed up as I was sweating a lot and went to buy some groceries at Big Bazaar. That done I went to have some chicken wings and a mini pizza at Pizza Hut. As I was leaving I saw a friend of mine walking past the Pizza Hut and going down the escalator. I quickly left and caught up with her; she was there to take her son to Burger King. We caught up for a bit as I hadn’t seen her since she left my current place of employment. I had to say bye quickly as she had booked her Uber to take her and her son back home.

After she left, I booked my cab and then went home. It’s a humid evening and I am sweating in my room. I guess I will watch a movie and then go to sleep.

Pet Sematary (2019)

Pet Sematary is a 2019 American supernatural horror film directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer and written by Jeff Buhler, from a screen story by Matt Greenberg. It is the second adaptation of the 1983 novel of the same name by Stephen King, after the 1989 film. The film stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, and John Lithgow, and follows a family that discovers a mysterious graveyard in the woods behind their new home.

The story is pretty much followed from the original with some changes mainly towards the end. Dr. Louis Creed moves his family – wife Rachel, daughter Ellie, toddler Gage and their pet cat Church – from Boston to the small town of Ludlow, Maine. The same day they see a procession of children in animal masks headed towards the woods to bury a deceased pet dog. There is a sign that reads Pet Sematary deeper in the woods and their aged neighbour Jud warms the, not to venture to far out.

At the university hospital, Louis is left shaken after failing to save the life of Victor Pascow, a student who has been fatally injured after being struck by a vehicle. On the night following Pascow’s death, Louis experiences a vivid dream in which he meets Pascow, who leads him to the back of the cemetery and warns Louis not to “venture beyond” and that “the ground is sour”. A disturbed Louis awakens to find his feet and bed sheets caked in mud, suggesting that the evening’s previous events were more than just a nightmare. Later on Halloween, Church is killed when he is hit by a truck. Jud takes Louis to the Pet Sematary, supposedly to bury Church, however he leads Louis farther to an ancient burial ground. The next day Louis is stunned to see a dirty and smelly Church has come back. The cat is more aggressive and scratches Ellie and violently mangles a bird.

Louis confronts Jud who tells him that the burial ground behind the Pet Sematary is able to bring things back from the dead and is believed to be inhabited by a spirit known as the Wendigo. After Church attacks Gage, Louis attempts to euthanize him, however he decides against killing the cat and instead releases him at the gate of an area with restricted access, before telling Ellie that he ran away. The Creeds throw an outdoor party for Ellisees Church returning and runs out to the highway to greet him, followed by Gage. Louis rushes to save Gage and the truck driver wrecks the truck in order not to hit Ellie but the trailer separates and hits the girl, instantly killing her. The family is devastated, and Rachel and Gage leave to spend a few days with Rachel’s parents. Jud, sensing that Louis is planning on resurrecting Ellie, warns the grieving father that “sometimes dead is better”. However, despite the warnings from Jud and Pascow’s spirit, and his own reservations about the idea, Louis’s grief and guilt spur him to carry out his plan.

After drugging Jud, Louis exhumes Ellie’s body from her grave and inters her in the burial ground watched by the Wendigo who lets him bury Ellie. Ellie returns from the dead, however she immediately manifests a disturbing and ornery demeanor. At her parents’ house, Rachel is frightened by visions of her dead sister Zelda, who suffered from spinal meningitis and died after falling down a dumbwaiter shaft, leaving Rachel traumatized since she was young. Gage also sees the ghost of Pascow; meanwhile, Jud wakes up and confronts Louis. Insisting everything is fine, Louis sends Jud away; however, Jud spots Ellie watching him from her bedroom window. He is distracted by a snarling Church and Ellie slashes his ankle and after he falls she stabs him to death. Rachel returns home with Gage and cannot believe that she is seeing her daughter alive. She manages to get Gage to Louis but she is stabbed by Ellie. Louis locks Gage in the car and returns upstairs to find a dying Rachel who begs Louis not to resurrect her before succumbing to her injuries.

Ellie knocks Louis unconscious and drags Rachel’s body into the woods where she buries her beyond the Pet Sematary. As Louis prepares to kill Ellie in the forest, he is impaled through the chest with a weather vane by a resurrected Rachel, and he too is buried. Along with Church, the trio set fire to Jud’s house before approaching the car where Gage still sits inside. The resurrected Louis gestures to Gage to unlock the door.

This one is darker and ends differently from the original but it doesn’t better the original and I feel that horror film makers seem to be running out of ideas and reboots and remakes seem to be popping up a lot. I still liked it even though the lead actor’s mumbling and acting style put me off. I give it a 7 outta 10!

Foodies Without Internet

If the Internet disappeared tomorrow, how would you continue to share your love of food?

Perish the thought! How would we let other people know what we are eating for lunch or dinner.

Ah, remember the good ole days where if you ate a great meal, you would only talk about it to the people you happen to be eating it with and perhaps possibly the next day when you went back to school or college or work,  you’d tell you friends about it? But you couldn’t show them the photos of it could you?

So if there were no Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and no internet, the world wouldn’t end for foodies. We would still eat the food we love and enjoy it and tell our friends and family about the awesome places and menu items to eat. I would write about it on a journal atleast. Cameras are still there right, so I can take photos of it and share it in a smaller group.

It’s Coffee O’Clock

I love my coffee. I drink 3-4 cups of coffee or life giving nectar as I like to call it. I cannot start my day without a cup and usually it is 2 cups a morning after which I start to feel like a human being and less like a zombie from The Walking Dead.

Do you like your coffee as black as the night on a moonless night or the colour of brown / mocha? See sometimes I like my coffee strong, sweet and black and sometimes I need to add milk in it. We don’t use cream or anything else in it over here. It’s either milk or nothing at all. I wish we had more options. I also see some people adding stuff like eggnog in their coffee. I have never had eggnog before but I would love to try some and then see if it goes well instead of milk in my coffee.

Any which way you like your coffee, it is an essential part of a lot of us. Even more than beer or vodka. Gasp! I can’t believe I just say that. Coffee is more essential to me than beer & vodka – the horror!! LOL, I kid. I love coffee. Bring me another cup.

Summer Time Reading Plans?

Summer reading time! What books do you plan to read this summer?

Absolutely none! My days of reading fictional novels – and I used to read a shit ton of books – and non-fiction are long past me. My free time is usually spent in front of my laptop online and mostly on Youtube or watching one of the numerous movies that I have to watch. With highspeed internet and streaming tv shows and movies, I just don’t get the same enthusiasm for reading books.

I used to be a voracious reader and I’ve bought and read a lot of books. From the ages of 11 till my mid 20s I was a member of a couple of libraries and I used to rent many books, several at a time and finish them off in 2 weeks. I was known as the extended family’s bookworm and for many a birthday people gifted me books to read, knowing that I would really like them.

When I moved to my current apartment, which we own, back in 2006 I couldn’t find a good library but this 30 year old found a store that sold books at cheap prices. These were mostly second hand books that were almost all in mint, just like new condition, probably read once and then donated or sold. Some were even from the US, UK or Canada from libraries that have probably closed down (you could see the check out card at the back page). I would spend an hour or so browsing through the titles and then picking 2-3 books at such cheap costs.

A book which would cost me Rs.349-500 at a book store to buy new would be between Rs.75-150 at this place and it was almost brand new. I would take those books and walk over to a bar called Oberoi bar & restaurant and pick my favourite seat near to a window so I could  move the curtain and get enough sunlight in and order beer or vodka and some food for lunch and spend 3-4 hours drinking, eating and reading there before it was time to go home.

I actually miss that. Maybe I should try doing that again.

Truth Or Die

Truth Or Die is a British film by director Robert Heath and starring Tom Kane, Liam Boyle, Jack Gordon, Florence Hall, Jennie Jacques & Alexander Vlahos. I can’t really call it horror but it’s more like a dark thriller with elements of horror.

A year or more before the events of the main part of the film, a group of teenagers are at a party celebrating the end of their school life and doing the same things that teenagers do at this party. Drink, make loud obnoxious noises, play games that only drunk teens do in movies and make out. Lonely Felix is the odd one out, seemingly without any friends. While taking part in a game of truth or dare, with a few students, Felix is pressurized into choosing a girl at the party and he picks Gemma, a girl who he has a huge crush on. Unfortunately for him, Gemma’s boyfriend Chris does not approve and humiliates Felix in front of the others and punches him. Felix leaves to taunts of “Truth or Dare Bitch”! and we see him sitting outside on his own.

Now a year or more later, the teens – Gemma, Eleanor, Chris, Paul & Luke – are invited to Felix’s birthday party with the promise of a great time and free booze. As Felix’s family is very rich and has a huge mansion in the country side, all 5 decide to join with only Gemma feeling sorry for the lad. They meet up and drive to the mansion only to be told by a caretaker that the party is in a small cabin way into the woods. They are met there by Felix’s older army soldier of a  brother Justin, who is back from a tour of Afghanistan. He apologies for the fact that Felix isn’t there, saying that he couldn’t get a flight out of Spain but the 5 friends were welcome to have drinks and food with him. As the teens drink the party, Justin suggests that they play spin the bottle and truth or dare. Soon we realize that something is wrong.

Justin says that Felix was so devastated by the game and that that he later came to the cabin and hung himself to death. The only clue that Justin has is that someone sent Felix a postcard with the words “Truth or Dare, Bitch!” on it. This was found on Felix when Justin found him body. Justin then pulls a gun on the 5 and asks them to confess. When they refuse, he scares them and shoots of part of Paul’s finger. He also bullies Luke who has a side business as a drug dealer and makes him tie up the others. He makes the others choose between two jars of clear liquids – one water and the other an acid – and pump it into one of them. Gemma is saved when water is chosen but Chris, who says he sent the card after initially denying it, gets acid pumped into him and he dies. When Jonesy, another friend of theirs comes to the cabin, he is killed by Justin. Gemma manages to escape and runs through the back and finds the mansion.

In it she sees Felix still alive but in a vegetative state after his suicide attempt led to his brain being starved of oxygen and he is lying in a bed fed through tubes. Tvs around him shows him what is happening in the cabin and Gemma confronts him. The groundskeeper barges in and is killed in a struggle for the shotgun but Gemma is caught by Justin who breaks her neck. He brings her body to the cabin along with Felix in a wheelchair and in a struggle Eleanor is able to get free. Luke is killed but Eleanor manages to get the upper hand and smashes the acid jar over Justin’s head, scarring part of his face. When he comes to, he is tied up against a beam and Eleanor reveals what actually happened. At the party she had tempted Felix to go up to a bedroom with her with the lure of sex but made him suck a sleeping Paul’s penis. When Paul woke up he was disgusted and threatened Felix who ran away in shame.

Eleanor has recorded this on her cell and it was she who sent the card as a joke not knowing that Felix would kill himself. Fearing what his soldier and tough guy older brother would think of him, Felix attempted suicide. Eleanor convinces Felix to kill himself and Justin by pulling the pin on a grenade and blowing them up in the cabin while she, escapes in Justin’s car along with Paul and Gemma’s body.

Not bad with a couple of twists in the end. Kinda torture pornish but not really. It’s obviously very low budget but the cast did the best with what they had. And Eleanor is so hot! 6 outta 10!

On Donuts

National Doughnut Day! Will you be celebrating with homemade doughnuts or picking up a box at the store? Share your best doughnut story or recipe.

I am not the biggest fan of doughnuts / donuts but on the odd occasion I get a craving for a nice & fresh donut. Very few times have I had a really good one and I find that it’s either average or really good. Ever since I can remember having donuts in India, it’s usually a very bad donut base with a chocolate glaze that kinda makes up for the lack of taste of the dough, just because it’s chocolate.

That leaves one less satisfied. Now, please understand that this is the case where I live. In the recent years we have had some improvement and there exists a few places – just a couple – where the donuts that they serve are mostly good to really good. Still we do not have them major chains in our fair state.

While in Chennai & Delhi respectively I was able to sample some really good donuts from Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts. The difference in taste is amazing! While I understand that the best donuts might not be from a chain but a small store run by a mom n pop in some small town, those towns and shops are nowhere near me. So I must rely on the major chains if I want a really good one or find a one of bakery or shop that does serve halfway decent wares.

Have Mercy!

Having bitten the bullet and now continuing with Netflix, despite earlier not wanting tp pay Rs.500 every month for subscribing to them, I am kinda watching Netflix every day now. It’s so easy to get into it.

I always pick a sitcom to watch after I get back from work on the regular days when I work either a 6:30 to 3:30 am or a 7:30 to 4:30 am. I find it a great way to unwind and relax and finally go to sleep with a smile on my face. So it was Frasier, Corner Gas, Friends and Seinfeld that I would turn too. This past few days it has been Full House.

Full House is an American television sitcom created by Jeff Franklin for ABC. The show chronicles the events of widowed father Danny Tanner who enlists his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis and best friend Joey Gladstone to help raise his three daughters, oldest D.J., middle child Stephanie and youngest Michelle in his San Francisco home. It aired from September 22, 1987 to May 23, 1995, broadcasting eight seasons and 192 episodes. I used to watch this on reruns back in the early to mid 90s but only once in it’s tv run. I hadn’t seen anything from Full House since 2006. And yet I find myself oddly giddy with glee when the time comes for me to play a couple of episode from this fun show. It’s cheesy and corny and probably meant for kids (not really) but it’s innocent fun with a lot of “aww” moments, especially with Stephanie & Michelle, and it’s a big nostalgic ride.
