At The Blue Rock RestoCafe With Alza

Once again, this time unexpectedly, I had a lunch outing with Alza. She was still in town and we planned on Friday night to meet up this afternoon. We went to The Blue Rock RestoCafe which is the lounge bar for Olive Downtown. I like this place and we had some good food – honey chilli potato, dragon chicken and a pizza. We ordered 3 beers, of which she had one and then switched to Coke.

Xhaka May Never Play For Arsenal Again

Unai Emery admits Granit Xhaka may have played his last game for Arsenal and revealed conversations have taken place over whether he should be sold in January. The midfielder has been absent for the last three matches after telling supporters to “f*** off” as he was jeered as he was substituted during a draw against Crystal Palace last month. Emery, having later stripped Xhaka of the captaincy, confirmed he had taken the decision for him to sit out Saturday’s game at Leicester after conversations between the pair ended with the 27-year-old declaring he was unavailable.

In the immediate aftermath of the incident against Palace, the club offered counselling to a player who Emery described as “devastated, sad and very down”. He will now miss what could be a key game at Leicester as Emery stated he had taken the call to once again leave him out. “Not yet,” Emery replied when asked if Xhaka was ready to feature at the King Power Stadium. “I spoke with him on Tuesday about how he’s feeling now and how he is in his mind. He’s working well, he’s training well, but he said to me that he’s not feeling good enough at the moment to play. We are going to wait.

Pushed on whether Xhaka may never play for Arsenal again, he added: “As a coach I have a responsibility for the team. We need a player like Granit Xhaka. “But also, I don’t know if he’s going to play again. I don’t know, because if he is available in his mind to continue helping us and continuing defending the Arsenal shirt, I think time is giving us that solution.” Reports surfaced earlier in the week that the club may try and move Xhaka on in the winter transfer window to alleviate what could potentially become a long-term problem. And Emery did little to quell the speculation when it was put to him whether the club had spoken about a possible move.

Services You Can Call Upon That Will Make Your Home So Much Better 100%

Your home is so very precious to you – whether you believe it or not. For every single homeowner on the planet, the home is a large, structural representation of the person inside it. What the house looks like is a reflection of how the inhabitants behave. If you’re somewhat of a clean freak and a perfectionist, then the home is going to look neat and tidy, most likely. If you’re pretty apathetic, then it’s not exactly going to be the most attractive thing on the planet.

Keeping a house in order can be quite difficult – especially when you have lots of work to do and lots of other errands to run. There are so many moving parts to a home, so you have a lot of plates that need to be kept spinning! It doesn’t matter whether it’s your first home, and you’re a little inexperienced, or whether you’ve been a homeowner for decades, it can be a little too overwhelming if you’re not exactly the most gifted when it comes to domestic chores and tasks.

Fortunately, there are lots of different services that you can solicit the help of if you ever need some. There are also places you can contact if you’re looking to upgrade your abode somehow. You probably know what’s available as you’ve been alive for quite a while now, but they may not enter your mind when you have lots of different pressures on your shoulders. Simply garnering the attention and services of experts might not even cross your mind when you try to find solutions. They are there waiting for you, however. All you have to do is pick up the phone or send an email.

What kinds of services are available for you, then? Well, as we said before, there’s now a business for pretty much every single domestic task you can think of. Here are some suggestions for you now:

Cleaners

As we said before, domestic chores are hard enough when you have the time to do them. If you’re constantly busy and have no time, then those jobs probably will not be completed. Working and getting tasks done is obviously noble, but if you live in a sty because of it, then that’s not going to help you at all. That’s where professional cleaning companies can come in handy. For a fee, they’ll come in and regularly keep things in good condition. If you do indeed have a lot on your plate, then this kind of thing can be a godsend.

You might also want to think about getting some help from window cleaners. General cleaners will go to work on the inside of your home, but the external side of the windows need some love, too. If left for too long, a window can become super dirty – especially when the harsher conditions strike.

Specialist Builders

If you’re ever looking to add something to your home, then you’re going to need to bring in people that know exactly what they’re doing. Let’s say you’re looking to convert your loft into something a lot more productive – are you going to do it by yourself? Absolutely not. Fortunately, you can head online and find all the contractors you need for such a project. Maybe you should look into custom windows. They’re literally just a Google search away. Amazing, huh?

Interior Designers And Decorators

You might think you know a little about the way your home should look and function, but there are people out there that know so much more. Do you want to have the most beautiful living room area? Would you like to be able to show off your home’s insides? Of course you would. The best course would be to work with an interior designer. They’ll know exactly what to add and how to add it. They’ll work closely with you and figure out what’s best for you and your personality.

Carpenters

If you’re looking for a classic look, then you could do a lot worse than hiring someone that works with wood for a living. If you want lovely-looking banisters around your stairs, or if you want attractive drawers and cabinets, then this kind of person would do wonders for you. In a world where we have all kinds of futuristic-looking facets, it’s nice to have one or two classic pieces.

Gardeners

A garden is almost as important as the house itself. It provides that much-needed sense of bliss and fresh air. Not everyone is great at maintaining a garden. If you’re one of those types, then a landscape gardening firm could help you out massively. They’ll be able to keep everything tidy as well as add new aesthetic features. If the fences are looking a little worse for wear, then they’ll be able to fix or replace accordingly.

A popular addition to gardens these days is artificial grass. If you’re not up for the idea of mowing the lawn regularly, and you have some money to spend, then you could get a gardening service to lay some fake grass down. It not only adds to the overall convenience, but it also looks great all year round.

Plumbers

Your pipes and the general flow of your home is one of the most important aspects of it all. If that’s not working properly, then you’ve got a lot of problems on your hands. You might think things would be fine, but have you ever tried to go a few hours without functioning facilities? It’s really difficult – especially in this first world where we’re handed pretty much everything on a plate. Thankfully, there are places like those at mrrooter.ca/toronto that can solve all kinds of plumbing issues around the house. Even if things are looking fairly healthy, you might still want to get in touch with your local plumbing company – you never know when something might go bang.

Roofers

The roof has a huge impact on a home. You may not realize right away, but it absolutely does. The function is obviously paramount, but it’s also nice to have an attractive-looking top. You only really tend to notice the roof after it has had a makeover, but, boy, does it stand out! If you have a pretty old set of roof tiles, then you might benefit from hiring a roofer and getting that seen to. Upgrading your roof will also provide you with a more insulated home – meaning the warmth will be kept inside. That kind of thing is huge during the winter months.

Pest Control

Everybody has to deal with pests at one time or another – it’s just a case of limiting them as much as possible. A pest control company can do just that. If you feel as though you may have somewhat of a problem on the horizon, then you might want to put these guys and girls to work. They’ll be able to snuff out any problems. They’ll also be able to stop more entering in the future.

Estate Agents

This kind of service will only be called upon when you’re looking to sell, of course. Estate agents will do a great job of making your home better. They obviously won’t get their hands dirty, but they’ll know what it takes to raise the value. They’ll be able to dish out all kinds of advice for you – which is very handy. At the end of the day, they’ll be looking to represent you, so they’ll want you looking at pretty as possible so that they can look equally as attractive.

Window Fitters

We talked about hiring window cleaners, but your windows, in general, should probably be taken care of if you want to have a much nicer home. If you have fairly outdated windows, then that can have an impact on the entire aesthetic. You’ll also want to have better windows for the same reason as the roof: it’ll keep cold air away.

Security

Finally, you might want to bring in some in some security for your home. It’s obviously not something you HAVE to do, but it’s something that will make your life a lot easier. You’ll be able to rest assured during the night and when you’re not at home. You’ll also be able to literally protect your home from all kinds of situations. If you have quite the luxurious place, then you might have a lot of admirers – and by ‘admirers,’ we mean people that are ‘admiring’ your items. It might seem a little pretentious, but literally hiring guards to stand outside would help out a lot. Obviously, if you’re in the middle of average suburbia, then this probably won’t be necessary. Large homes away from it all might need those presences, however.

More sensible and modest methods of security would be necessary for the average homeowner. CCTV cameras are obviously the smartest thing to do when it comes to home security. If you can work with a security company and install a security camera outside the front of your house, then you’re going to deter bad guys from causing problems. If they do choose to go through with their stupidity, then they’ll be caught and logged down in evidence forever.

Alarms are obviously a smart choice – nothing says ‘look at me everyone’ like a super loud siren that alerts the entire neighborhood!

Why Everyone Needs To Try Gaming

The gaming industry is huge, and it’s one that is never going to slow down anytime soon. As the demand for more and more advancements in technology increases, the standard of our games are only getting more life-like than ever before. But why should you try gaming? Here are some reasons as to why gaming can be beneficial for everyone.

It Challenges You

With most types of gaming, they challenge a part of your brain without you even realizing. From having to memorize certain aspects of the game for later on, to having a quicker reaction time in order to take out an enemy in the game before they kill you. There are so many elements to a game that can challenge you, and that’s really good for your brain to be receiving. The more challenges and activities you can deliver to your brain, the better, and that only becomes more important as you get older. So you may enjoy playing a certain game on your own or with a friend.

There’s certainly nothing wrong with doing that even if you’re a parent or have children who’ve flown the nest. As we get older, we tend to lose more of our skills because we simply become more fearful of things, or we lose our memories.

A Great Way To Bond With Others

Being able to enjoy something with another person is a healthy thing regardless of whether you’re going to the gym with a friend or beating them on an online game. It’s a great opportunity for you to make new friends when playing with others around the world. But at the same time, it’s good to help build relationships and memories that you already had with those friends in your real life. It’s important that whatever you’re playing, whether it’s the anonymous online bookmaker Azino.cc or a role-playing action game, that you still retain your real-life friendships.

Makes You A Better Decision Maker

As these games improve your brain skills, one of the major influences that it helps your decision making. With many games, you have to make certain decisions that can affect your gameplay. That means that you learn how to become better at making the choices that will benefit you. That skill can certainly be transferred to many things in your life, whether that’s the personal aspects or within your working life. The better you are at making decisions, the fewer mistakes you’ll make in the process.

Improves Mental Wellbeing

Our mental wellbeing is certainly something we need to take more care of, especially as it’s just as impactful on our physical health. With gaming, your mental wellbeing can improve because you’re distracting your mind with something that doesn’t have really any real-life consequences. If you mess up, you can simply reset the play button and start over again.

Everyone should incorporate a little gaming into their life. There are definitely some benefits from spending time on an online game or one on a games console.

Vitoria Guimaraes 1 Arsenal 1

Arsenal’s 100% record in the Europa League this season ended as Bruno Duarte scored a 91st-minute equaliser for Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal. Shkodran Mustafi had provided the Gunners with the breakthrough with an unmarked header from a Nicolas Pepe free-kick with 10 minutes to go. But Vitoria came to life in the closing stages and former Spurs man Marcus Edwards’ cross from the right caused confusion in the Arsenal defence, allowing Duarte to equalise with a scissor-kick. The result was Arsenal’s fourth consecutive draw in all competitions in a turbulent week that saw Granit Xhaka stripped of the captaincy. Group F leaders Arsenal will still qualify for the last 32 on Thursday if third-placed Standard Liege lose to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery made eight changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday, including handing the captain’s armband to defender Rob Holding with former skipper Xhaka not part of the squad. The Switzerland captain was stripped of the captaincy following an angry confrontation with home fans during the Gunners’ 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at Emirates Stadium on 27 October. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who will take over as club captain from Xhaka, and German midfielder Mesut Özil also did not travel to Portugal. Emery opted for a change in formation with a defensive back three of Holding, Sokratis and goalscorer Mustafi, with youngsters Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Kieran Tierney adding an attacking threat as wing-backs. But for the second time in a week the Gunners were punished late on and failed to take all three points. In a match played in torrential rain, the first half was largely uneventful with Vitoria showing early warning signs when their midfielder Pepe hit the post with a long-range effort and Edwards forced a good save from Emiliano Martinez.

Martinez was again called into action minutes later when a Vitoria free-kick found the unmarked Edmond Tapsoba but the centre-back’s flicked header was palmed away. Vitoria keeper Douglas was not tested in the opening 45 minutes as the Gunners failed to register a shot on target despite dominating possession. Arsenal’s best chance of the first half fell to Holding after clever play down the left-hand side by 18-year-old Bukayo Saka. The skipper for the match was unchallenged as he rose to meet the cross but his header went over the bar. In the second half the Gunners began to take control and were rewarded on 80 minutes thanks to Mustafi’s header from a free-kick by Pepe, who scored twice from set-pieces against Vitoria in the final 10 minutes at Emirates Stadium two weeks ago to give his side a 3-2 win.

Another victory looked to have been sealed here but Arsenal’s defensive frailties were exposed in stoppage time as Vitoria found a late surge of tempo to put the Gunners under pressure and find an equaliser, earning them their first point in the Europa League this season. Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos suffered a hamstring injury in the second half and has been ruled out of the trip to Leicester on Saturday by Emery.

Xhaka Stripped Of Captaincy; Auba To Take Over

Midfielder Granit Xhaka has been stripped of the Arsenal captaincy with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang taking over, Gunners’ boss Unai Emery has confirmed. Xhaka, 27, was involved in an angry confrontation with home fans during the Gunners’ 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on 27 October. “I had a meeting with him and told him he is no longer in the captain’s group,” said Emery on Tuesday. “He accepted my decision. I needed to take a decision and now it’s closed.”

Last month, the Switzerland international was booed as he walked off the pitch at Emirates Stadium, prompting him to cup his ear, take his shirt off and head straight down the tunnel to the dressing room. Emery later said Xhaka should apologise to the club’s supporters, saying the Swiss midfielder “knows he was wrong”. However, Xhaka refused to go that far, although he did say he got “carried away” and reacted “disrespectfully” to fans. “The scenes that took place around my substitution have moved me deeply,” Xhaka said in statement on Instagram last month. “I love this club and always give 100% on and off the pitch. “My feeling of not being understood by fans, and repeated abusive comments at matches and in social media over the last weeks and months, have hurt me deeply. “People have said things like, ‘We will break your legs’, ‘Kill your wife’ and ‘Wish that your daughter gets cancer’. That has stirred me up and I reached boiling point when I felt the rejection in the stadium on Sunday.”

Xhaka, who has not played since, has been left out of Arsenal’s squad for their Europa League game in Portugal against Vitoria Guimaraes on Wednesday. He joined the club in a £35m move from German side Borussia Monchengladbach in 2016 and played in the 2017 FA Cup final as Arsenal beat Chelsea. Xhaka, who is the captain of the Swiss national side, also helped the Gunners reach the League Cup final in 2018 and the final of the Europa League earlier this year. Arsenal are fifth in the Premier League and play away at third-placed Leicester on Saturday.

Emery’s decision to strip Xhaka of the Arsenal captaincy was the inevitable consequence of his angry exchange with supporters during the draw with Crystal Palace. The whole affair has been a mess of Emery’s making, starting with letting a blind vote among Arsenal’s players elect a captain rather than being strong enough to make the decision himself, ending with a figure who has never been a fans’ favourite and has had a chequered career at the club with the armband. And while there is understandable sympathy for Xhaka because of abuse he has suffered on social media, it was impossible for him to continue as captain once he gestured and mouthed towards fans when he was substituted during the 2-2 draw.

What’s Hot And What’s Not In The First Half Of 2020

2019 is just about winding down now, and if you’re a movie buff, you will have to agree that it’s been a fantastic year at the cinema.

Fans of all things comic books won’t have failed to book tickets for movies such as Avengers: Endgame, Spiderman: Far From Home, and what must surely be an Oscar contender, the multiplex-conquering Joker. See our movie review here. There were lots of scary treats for horror fans, with the Stephen King adaptation IT: Chapter Two and the future cult classic, Midsommar, being two notable highlights. And we also had the less scary Toy Story 4, the actiontastic John Wick 3, and the new Tarantino, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Great movies all, at least in the opinion of this writer. But then there were the disappointing films that sullied our cinemas with their very presence, including the misguided comic book adaptation Hellboy, the comedy What Men Want (the remake nobody wanted), and the unfortunate Holmes and Watson which, despite all the clues pointing to the contrary with its fine comic cast, failed to ignite many laughs.

Of course, you might disagree, and that’s fine. We all have different tastes, and there might be so-called bad films that you love and critically acclaimed films that you quite simply hate! Who are we to judge? And so on to 2020, where much is promised in the world of cinema. We don’t yet know which films will score big and which will fail miserably, but check out some of our predictions for the first half of the year below. Do you agree? Leave your comments after reading.

HOT: Bad Boys for Life

The 1995 original movie was the DVD choice for many guys on a Saturday night in, armed with a bag of Nachos in one hand and a beer drinking horn in the other, while settling down to enjoy the film with their mates. It was a comedy action classic, and so a sequel was always on the cards. Sadly, that sequel was Bad Boys 2, which simply wasn’t as good, but the trailer for Bad Boys 3 sees the guys back on top form (even if Martin Lawrence is looking a little the worse for wear), so hopes for this movie are high. Bad Boys for life? We’re hoping so! Estimated release date: January 2020.

HOT: The King’s Man

It’s difficult to be rude about the Kingsman series, not only because ‘manners maketh the man,’ (we are assuming you recognise the quote), but also because the two films so far have been wildly inventive action comedies. The new movie is a prequel, with Ralph Fiennes leading the cast of this origin story about how the superspy organisation came into being. We also have a new James Bond in 2020, but in a fight, we’re tempted to come out on the side of the Kingsmen. We would be rude not to, after all! Estimated release date: February 2020.

NOT HOT: Sonic The Hedgehog

Die-hard fans of the blue hedgehog might be speeding their way to the front of the ticket line, but we’re betting few others will follow. Why? Firstly, video game movies rarely do well, as can be evidenced by the likes of Super Mario Bros, Doom, and any of the Resident Evil series. Secondly, recent Sonic video games have sucked big time. And finally, after the initial trailer of the film caused fan backlash because of how Sonic looked on film, the proposed release date was put back after the movie’s creators went back to the character drawing board. So, our hopes are not high for this one, and apologies for the pun, but your hopes are likely to be dashed too! Estimated release date: February 2020.

HOT: No Time To Die

Here’s the Bond movie we mentioned, and while we believe the Kingsmen will pose a threat to the superspy box office takings, we are still guaranteed a good time here. After all, the credentials are good. Daniel Craig is back for the final time as Bond, Rami Malek is stepping forth as the movie’s villain, and acclaimed True Detective director, Cary Fukunaga takes the helm. We don’t know much about the film yet, but we can guarantee guns, cars, an underground lair, and an alluring theme song. Estimated release date: April 2020.

NOT HOT: Trolls 2

The kids will probably disagree, but for adults, watching the original film was akin to showering your eyeballs in rainbow dust and wading through roads paved in candy floss and lollipops. And so it is with this sequel based on the weirdly popular toy franchise that promises to offer more of the same. Of course, our sweety references might have piqued your interest, but in this writer’s opinion, the film will be as bad for your senses as too much sugar is bad for your body. Still, if you have kids, you will probably end up seeing it, although you might want to wear a pair of shades. Estimated release date: April 2020.

HOT: Black Widow

Finally, the Marvel character gets the spinoff movie she deserves, although this is one film that you might not have been expecting. You will understand why if you saw this years Avengers movie. Of course, you will be less taken aback when we tell you that this is set before the events of that film, and while we don’t know the story yet, you can probably expect to see Hawkeye (and perhaps other Marvel heroes) in the film as well. Estimated release date: May 2020.

HOT OR PERHAPS NOT: Top Gun Maverick

To be honest, this movie could be awful. A sequel to a much-loved but now long in the past 1986 film, there wasn’t a lot of need for there to be another in the (now) franchise. For all we know, it could be a desperate attempt by Hollywood to rake in the coins by capitalising on our nostalgia for the original. However, Tom Cruise rarely puts a foot wrong (despite breaking his ankle on the set of MI: Fallout), and he is joined by the usually reliable Miles Teller as well. So, will the film fly out of the danger zone of terribleness? You can find out for yourself when the film lands on June 2020.

We haven’t covered every movie here – there are simply too many to consider – but we hope this small snapshot of upcoming film releases has piqued your interest in the best (and perhaps worst) of what Hollywood is serving up for us. Let us know your thoughts and predictions in the comments below.

Musicians Are Doing It For Themselves (Making Money From Your Music Online)

The times, they are a-changin’, especially when it comes to being a musician. In fact, no longer is it about gigging until you get discovered, and then hoping with all your might that you will be signed by a big label. Instead, musicians are now ‘doing it for themselves’ in that they are writing, producing, and marketing their own work online. A topic you can find out all about in the post below.

Do use download and streaming sites.

The first thing you need to get familiar with is using musical download and streaming sites like Spotify, Itunes, and SoundCloud. In fact, instead of fans buying CDs, they are much more likely to stream or download your tracks instead.

Although this method of music consumption has some benefits and some disadvantages for self-promoting musicians. The first being that there are a lot fewer costs involved than creating a CD or pressing vinyl album.

However, the profit per unit is also pretty small as well, something that means many musicians really on repeat plays, and volume of downloads to make a decent living. This being something that can be more tricky to achieve than you would first think.

Don’t forget to ensure your digital tracks are excellent quality.

Happily, there are some things you can do to boost the likelihood of your tracks being streamed and downloaded. The first of these is to ensure that your tracks are of excellent quality. Both relating to the musically and songwriting as well as the production and mixing as well.

Of course, that means most musicians looking to sell their work online will need to their tracks mastered by a professional. Although you will be pleased to note that you can get a free mastering sample from the best professionals online. Even before you have your entire album or even whole track done. Something that can help you to be sure that you are selecting the right person to get you the best result.

Do create a social media presence.

Next, it is essential to remember that successfully selling your music online isn’t only about the quality of your tracks. In fact, a great deal of importance is also placed on marketing and social media presence as well. After all, you won’t have a record company and their significant might behind you for advertising.
To that end, selecting the right social media platforms to promote your music, as well as creating new and engaging content regularly is very important.

Don’t sell your music for use for the first figure offered.

Finally, most musicians selling their work online can only dream of the day when their work gets picked up to be used in TV, film, or other media. However, if you do find yourself in this advantageous position, be careful not to undersell your work.

In fact, the royalties from such use could make up a large part of your total income for years to come. Therefore, it is crucial that you effectively negotiate a reasonable price. Something that means you don’t just bite off the hand of anyone wanting to buy, at their first offer.

In the Tall Grass

In the Tall Grass is a 2019 Canadian supernatural horror drama film written and directed by Vincenzo Natali and starring Patrick Wilson, Laysla De Oliveira, Harrison Gilbertson, Avery Whitted, Will Buie Jr. & Rachel Wilson. It is based on Stephen King and Joe Hill’s 2012 novella of the same name. The film had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 20, 2019. It was later released on October 4, 2019, by Netflix.

Siblings Becky and Cal DeMuth travel to San Diego so that 6-months-pregnant Becky can give up her baby for adoption. While stopping outside an old church, the pair hears a young boy named Tobin call for help from a nearby field of tall grass. the pair enters but quickly gets separated and finds that their distance from one another changes strangely. Increasingly panicked, the pair decides to leave but are unable to locate the road. Night falls and Cal stumbles across a bruised and dirty Tobin holding a dead crow, who claims the grass won’t move dead things and buries the bird in the path. Becky encounters Tobin’s father, Ross, but they get separated in the grass. Tobin leads Cal to an ancient rock in the field and encourages him to touch it, but they are interrupted by Becky’s scream as she is attacked by an unseen figure.

Meanwhile, the father of Becky’s child, Travis, arrives looking for her and Cal. He finds their car parked outside the church and decides to investigate the field of grass, eventually stumbling across Tobin who leads him to Becky’s rotting corpse. As Travis grieves, he loses sight of Tobin. At the same time, a seemingly earlier version of Tobin arrives at the church with Natalie and Ross. Hearing Travis, who is now calling out to Tobin, their dog Freddy runs into the grass and the family runs in after him where Travis hears Tobin and looks for him. The family panics and scatters, with Ross stumbling across the rock and touching it as night falls. Morning comes and shows Becky and Cal re-entering the grass as they investigate Tobin’s cries. Tobin states that Freddy was killed. Knowing that the grass does not move dead things, Travis instructs Becky and Cal to move toward Tobin and all four find each other. Travis tells Becky and Cal that they had been missing for two months.

The group walks to a building that they see while Beck receives a call from someone who is very distressed.  As they walk, the grass seemingly enters Becky’s uterus and she passes out, only to be revived by Ross, who then reunites with Tobin as the sun goes down. Ross leads them to the rock where they are confronted by a startled Natalie who claims she saw Becky’s corpse earlier. She then warns them not to touch the rock. Ross gets more and more agitated until the others decide to leave. He wounds Travis and kills Natalie before pursuing the others, claiming the rock showed him the truth and the way out, but that he doesn’t want to leave. Becky, Cal, Travis and Tobin reach the abandoned building and while scouting, Travis and Cal discover that Freddy has managed to escape the field via a “hole” that leads to the road. A jealous Cal, who is implied to have incestuous feelings for Becky, lets go of Travis as he slips, causing him to fall off the roof. Tobin witnesses this and flees into the field when Ross follows them to the roof.

Becky refuses to leave Travis and goes back and as Cal flees, Cal is strangled to death by Ross and it is revealed they are in a time loop, permanently being hunted by an insane Ross in the grass. Travis has survived the fall and goes searching for Becky. They can hear each other on opposite sides of the field and Becky admits she was going to give up the baby for adoption. Becky is attacked by Ross but escapes after stabbing him in the eye as a thunderstorm begins. Becky is confronted by Grass Creatures who carry her to the rock which has prophetic markings relating to Becky’s pregnancy. After seeing a horrific vision underneath the rock, Becky frantically makes a phone call, pleading for her past self to prevent Cal from hurting Travis. Becky then passes out. She awakens to find Cal caring for her, but she is actually hallucinating and it’s actually Ross, and feeding her with what is revealed to be her baby.

Moments later, Travis stumbles across Becky’s unconscious body. Tobin finds him and they are confronted by Ross, who mortally wounds Travis. As Ross tries to make Tobin touch the rock, Becky attacks Ross and scratches out his other eye with her necklace, before dying from her wounds. Travis kills Ross and then realizes the only way to understand the grass is to touch the rock. Travis touches the rock and sees a series of strange visions. He then grabs Tobin’s hand and guides him through the grass to an exit, instructing him to stop Becky and Cal from entering the grass. Tobin emerges in the church across the road just as Becky and Cal are about to enter the grass and convinces them to stay out by showing them Becky’s necklace that Travis gave him, hence closing the loop. Becky decides to keep her baby as they drive back home. Travis listens to them leave and dies peacefully in the grass.

Very interesting concept but what the heck is in that tall grass? And time loops and stuff? It leaves so many questions unanswered and I hate that. But then this is a short story which is made into a movie and there are bound to be some limitations. I give it a 7 outta 10!

Some Days Off, Maybe?

What are you looking forward to in December?

Well we have a busy schedule coming up in November. Not that from mid-September to now hasn’t been busy. But with a new business deal being signed up between our company and our biggest clients, it looks like some very busy weeks ago. I guess I am going to be really tied up till mid December atleast and there may be some long days & nights at work.

Hopefully that will also mean that deserving we will also get some time off. Now the last time I had a few days off was at the beginning of March of this year when I took 3 days off and combined with my weekend I had 5 days of relaxation, of which I spent 3 days in a nice and comfortable hotel room. I want to do that again and see if I can afford it. At the moment probably not so I will see what I can save up from my part time thing I do on the side.

If so then I will take some of that cash and book myself in another place again and relax and chill out for 3-4 days and not answer any calls and leave my worries behind. I would love that a lot. I hope I can get that done without breaking the bank.

Arsenal 1 Wolves 1

Arsenal’s turbulent week ended with them surrendering another lead as Wolves fought back to claim a merited Premier League point at the Emirates. Wolves, who are now unbeaten in their past eight matches in the capital, dominated for long periods but fell behind as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was left unmarked from Alexandre Lacazette’s pass to steer home his 50th goal for Arsenal. However, that was a rare blip for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side who repeatedly carved the hosts open. And they got their reward when Raul Jimenez headed Joao Moutinho’s hooked cross past Bernd Leno into the bottom right corner.

It ensured Wolves, who are up to 11th, stretched their unbeaten run to six games, while Arsenal remain in fifth. Arsenal have already surrendered leads against Watford and Crystal Palace this season, and this result did little to allay concerns over the team’s perceived fragility in defence. Former boss Arsene Wenger came in for criticism over this towards the end of his 22-year tenure at the club and there is a feeling that Emery has been unable to address those failings as he nears 18 months in charge. While they were in total control against Watford and Palace before capitulating, that was not the case against Wolves who took the game to the hosts from the off.

The visitors had already fashioned at least half a dozen good opportunities before Arsenal opened the scoring against the run of play. Aubameyang’s expert finish brought up his ninth goal in 13 games but he was largely forced to feed off scraps with Arsenal managing just 10 shots compared to the visitors’ 25. There was little of the fan unrest that led to Granit Xhaka being omitted from the starting line-up but equally there was a sense of inevitability about Jimenez’s equaliser. However, only Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola currently enjoys a higher win ratio in the Premier League than Emery.

At The Ava Lounge With Alza

So I went to The Ava Lounge again after a gap of 8 months or so. The Ava Lounge is the lounge bar at the 5 star Radisson Blu. I love this place as it is cool, has plush carpeting and it is quiet and has lots of privacy. The food is really good.

This time I went on a sort of date with the young lady you see here in the pics. Alza is an ex-trainee of mine and an ex-colleague. Yes, she is gorgeous and she is pretty. She also has the most amazing dimples I have ever seen and everytime she flashes a smile at me and I get to see the dimples, I swoon. She left the company I work for back in February.

We’ve reconnected in September and have been chatting on a regular basis and last week did a lot of video chatting as well. Last night as I was leaving the office we planned to meet up today. Two Mondays ago she thought I would be available to meet up but we had some flooding in the city and I wasn’t able to catch up with her. So since she was in town for a couple of days, we made a quick plan to meet up for some beer.

I booked an Ola and went to pick her up near the place she was staying at. She came and got into the cab for the very short ride to Radisson. We started chatting and rode the elevator to the 11th floor and then took a table near the window and sat down. We got some Kingfisher Blue and I ordered an Afghani chicken and some French Fries. She started taking selfies.

We talked and we took a few photos and we talked some more. She grabbed my phone and took a few selfies and we even did a couple of videos.

I had a great time talking and laughing with her. We were silly and we joked around. I love being with her as she is a lot of fun and she is weird & strange but mostly because it felt good for this lonely ole bachelor to be with a beautiful young woman for an afternoon. As we left I kissed her hand and thanked her a lovely time.

I dropped her off on my way to a supermarket and then I bought some groceries and came home to take a nap and enjoy a nice evening at home with my parents. I hope I see her again.
