A month and just a little more of morning shifts is about to end. Due to me training two batches for one of our Chennai based new hire teams, and since they schedule all their training batches from 8:30 am till 5:30 pm for seating related reasons, I got the chance to work in this shift for a little over a month as I have handled 2 batches for them with a little gap in the middle. Plus we had 2 days where they had issues with generating new ids for them so we basically had to postpone the start of training by those 2 days for both the batches. In effect I think I got to a morning shift for about 6 weeks.
So yeah, working a day shift.] of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm which means that I am free after 5:30 to have coffee and a snack at leisure and then relax till my dinner time, which is around 9 pm, and then watch tv from 9:30 pm or 10 pm. The downside is that I ofcourse have to wake up at 7am and since I am not used to waking up that early for a very long time. It is murder on me but I do like logging out of work early in the evening. And I tend to fall asleep by 11 pm or 11:30 pm. Which is ok but somehow I do feel that I am more tired waking up at 7 am rather than later on in the when I work a late evening shift.
I have also tried to incorporate more fruits in my diet. Plums, grapes, watermelons and mainly apples. I love them and they are so juicy and delicious plus since it is the hottest months of the year now since we started March (and which will continue till mid-May or June). We have had some rain the past couple of days, including yesterday when it rained continuously for almost 2 hours, with loud thunder and lightning. The main street in Cochin had about 4 inches of water and water logged which made commuting in that area tough. My sister & brother in law shot a video of passing by through there as they were going to pick up my niece from a class.
