Luv Cutlet – Serving Us Hot Crispy & Crunchy Balls Of Deliciousness

This is now my new favourite evening tea time snack. There is a small busines called Luv Cutlet that makes…..well…cutlets and serve tea in their two outlets in the city of Kochi. They have a few variations of the cutlets – chicken, beef, chicken & cheese, prawn, veggie, spicy and a potato one. There is something for everyone’s taste.

Cutlet’s as what we Indians call them, are these small roundish shaped (or square or oval shaped, it doesn’t matter) snacks that are either chicken, meat or veggie fried in oil with a breaded coating. Traditionally they have been either chicken or beef but fish, veggie & lamb cutlets have also become popular. What is usually consistent is that they taste delicious. Also they are like the perfect evening snack to munch on while your drink your coffee, tea, lemonade whatever. They are also seen as a companion piece to the more popular samosa. However in Kerala, I would argue that the cutlet is more popular.

Luv Cutlet is serving Malayalees their version of the cutlet which are bigger than most and also their outer coating is more crunchier and crispier, making the experience that much more satisfying and yes it is also more tastier. They taste awesome any day but especially more when it is cold & raining and you want something hot to eat while you drink your coffee or tea, I hope these guys grow throughout the city and expand towards the rest of Kerala.

Crystal Palace 0 Arsenal 1

A penalty from captain Martin Odegaard gave 10-man Arsenal a battling Premier League victory at Crystal Palace. Eddie Nketiah was brought down by Sam Johnstone after Gabriel Martinelli’s quickly taken free-kick, with Odegaard sending the goalkeeper the wrong way from the spot. At that stage Mikel Arteta’s side looked comfortable, but they were left hanging on after left-back Takehiro Tomiyasu was shown a red card for two bookings. The first yellow was for taking too long over a throw-in and the second was harshly awarded for a minor foul on Jordan Ayew in midfield. Palace put on late pressure, with Tyrick

Mitchell drilling over in injury time, but the Gunners, who hit the post through Nketiah in the first half, deserved their victory. Arsenal join Brighton and Manchester City on six points from two games, while Palace failed to build on their opening-day win at Sheffield United. Arsenal have a bit of a problem at full-back. Summer signing Jurrien Timber suffered a knee injury last week that could keep him out for most of the season and Oleksandr Zinchenko has just returned from a calf injury and started on the bench. Tomiyasu, who is a right-back by trade, started on the left and Thomas Partey, a midfielder, played at right-back when Palace had the ball, moving into his usual position when his side had possession.

Japan international Tomiyasu will miss the next game now after his controversial red card. He was shown a yellow card for taking too long over a throw-in – although it was Kai Havertz who had wasted most of the time before leaving the ball for his team-mate. And then he was dismissed for a nothing foul on Ayew about 50 yards away from any dangerous area. That was Arsenal’s first Premier League red card since 2021-22. The Gunners were the better team for most of the game, and almost led when Nketiah poked a shot off the post and then chipped an effort onto the roof of the net. Roy Hodgson’s Palace defended stoutly for 99% of the game but their one blip effectively cost them the game.

They were taking their time to organise their defensive shape from an Arsenal free-kick when Martinelli caught them out with a ball to Nketiah, who was felled by Johnstone. Odegaard, whose last penalty was for Vitesse in 2019, made no mistake from the spot. Declan Rice had another solid game in the centre of midfield following his £100m move from West Ham, but Havertz is still trying to find his proper role in the team. Six of Palace’s 14 chances came in the final five minutes with Odsonne Edouard having an effort saved and Mitchell lashing over after Aaron Ramsdale parried the ball.

How You’d Spend A Million Dollars In Lottery Money

A million dollars US will be Rs. 8,31,40,550.00 – and that is a serious chunk of change. Firstly I would scream “Yahoo! Chahe koye mujhe jungli kahe”. Damn I would be so happy. Next, I would quit my job. Just call up and say “I quit” and go hand over the laptop and bag and say bye to everyone. I am so happy to embrace an early retirement. And now what wouldn’t I do with that kind of money!

And now to get a new home. I’ve seen some of the biggest luxury apartments (about the size of 2 large 3 bedroom regular apartments) and they go about half a crore. That is Rs. 500,00,000. So I would buy 3 of those – 1 for my parents, 1 for my sister and her family and 1 for me. With the rest of the money, I’d invest some of it so that it gives me a bunch of savings off the interests. I’d travel a bit, live in luxury 5 star hotels and buy the latest gadgets. I’d enjoy seeing the places that I have always wanted to see but mostly I’d live a quiet life.

I’d want a quiet almost retired life. Stay in and enjoy not having to worry about money or work and all that stuff. I’d live my life and enjoy indulging in my hobbies and just relax for the rest of my life. I’d be a very boring rich guy but I don’t mind. I won’t have to worry about money or food or anything and I could just live in peace.

Iceland has always has an otherworldly feel to the land The tale of Gunnuhver is an example of classic Icelandic folklore, tying together the harshness of life on the island, ghosts, curses. It was said that a woman called Gunna lived on a farm on the Reykjanes Peninsula about four hundred years ago. She was tied to the land in poverty, under the authority of a wealthy lawyer. One day, she was unable to pay her rent, and her landlord took one of her only possessions, a cooking pot, as payment. She was enraged, and said she would starve herself until it was given back. Neither relented, and she died of hunger.

When her coffin was being carried to her grave, however, those holding it noticed it suddenly grow light. Then, a whisper echoed to the congregation: ‘No need deep to dig, no plans long to lie’. The body of her landlord was later found mutilated, and all who heard the whisper suspected the ghost had killed him. Unfortunately, Gunna’s vengeance did not end there. She killed his wife in a similarly brutal attack, then began to haunt the peninsula, driving many residents to madness. This continued until the arrival of a priest, Eirikur, to the peninsula. Considered a sort of holy sorcerer, the locals begged him to help. He came up with a plan, involving a ball of yarn. He gave the ball to the locals, left one end where Gunna was known to haunt, and told them to take it to the nearby hot spring and toss it in. They walked off with it, and Gunna picked up the end to follow their trail.

When the yarn was thrown into the hot spring, it took the spirit with it. It is still said that through the mist of the pools, it is possible to see her fighting to escape, and as such, the hot springs took her name. The Reykjanes Peninsula is highly volcanic, due to the fact that the Mid-Atlantic rift runs right through it. This leads to many hot springs, with others occurring at Krýsuvík and beneath Lake Kleifarvatn. These springs are beautiful, but unpredictable. In one of the mud pools, it is possible to see the engulfed remains of the old path, which was consumed by it expanding.

What Makes a Good TV Show Finale?

It’s not cut and dry but I think there are a couple of ways to end a show and make a good tv series finale. How do you end a sit-com for example? Think in particular shows like Friends or TBBT and see how their last episode was. In Friends, The series finale closes several long-running storylines. Ross Geller confesses his love for Rachel Green, and they decide to resume their relationship; and Monica Geller and Chandler Bing adopt twins and move to the suburbs. The episode’s final scene shows the group leaving Monica and Chandler’s apartment for the final time and going for one last cup of coffee together.

You’d like to think that despite Chandler & Monica moving to a home in the suburbs, that the group continued to remain very close and got together quite often and their kids also grew up together. However we also know that Joey gets his own show and moves to Los Angeles to further his acting career. Doesn’t seem like something he would do. I dunno. And in TBBT the show ends with Sheldon & Amy getting the Nobel prize and Sheldon giving an emotional speech in which he individually acknowledges each of his friends and Amy as his other family who always support him, apologizing to all of them for not being the friend they deserved. The last scene is the gang is eating in Apartment 4A which leads me to believe that things continue to being the same after the show ends and the gang gather every couple of days or week to hang out, while also raising their families. And Raj eventually finds someone for himself.

I didn’t like the ending to Frasier. Marty & Ronnee get married and Daphne goes into labour, giving birth to a baby boy. Roz gets promoted, getting the job of station manager at KACL and Frasier feels they each have begun a new chapter in their lives and that he wants that for himself now. Frasier’s agent Bebe Glazer gets him an offer to do a television show in San Francisco, which Frasier initially declines but after realizing that he wants to start a new chapter in his life, he accepts. However he ends up leaving for Chicago to pursue a relationship with Charlotte, leaving us hanging. Ideally he should have gotten together with Charlotte and stayed in Seattle. I still imagine that the two brothers are very close and living in Seattle, raising their families, still close with Roz and they meet ever so often to have drinks and dinners.

Former Arsenal Star Theo Walcott Retires From Professional Football

Theo Walcott has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 34. The ex-Arsenal, Everton and Southampton winger told Gary Neville on The Overlap podcast the decision is “scary” but he “wants to try new things”. Walcott hangs up his boots following a 23-year career in which he made 397 Premier League appearances. “I’m officially going to be hanging up my boots. It’s very scary, I can’t lie,” said Walcott. “It’s scary because football’s all I’ve known from the age of 16 or even younger. I want to try new things I never experienced as a kid – I missed out on a lot. “I just feel like I want to experience life – things [usually] revolve around football for me.”

In his 13-year spell with the Gunners, Walcott won three FA Cups as well as two Community Shields. He shot to fame in 2006 as a 17-year-old when he was surprisingly selected in Sven Goran Eriksson’s England World Cup squad. Walcott appeared 47 times for England, scoring eight times in a decade-long international career. Walcott, who was a free agent but made 20 Premier League appearances and scored three goals for Southampton last season as the club suffered relegation, says he received offers from various clubs to keep playing but his “heart isn’t committed” to it.

Walcott played for Newbury and Swindon Town as a youngster before being signed by Southampton in 2000. He made his debut for the Saints in 2005 as a 16-year-old and soon became the club’s youngest ever goal scorer when he found the net against Leeds United. Walcott made 21 appearances and scored four goals for Saints before joining Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in 2006. He played 397 games for the Gunners, scoring 108 goals, before departing for Everton in a £20 million deal in 2019. Walcott played 85 games for the Toffees, scoring 11 times, before re-joining Southampton two years later.

Some Interesting Facts About The Wendy’s Baconator

Perhaps one of the most iconic fast food burgers ever, the Baconator helped put Wendy’s back on the high burger sales map after a long period of struggling to compete with brands like McDonald’s. The Ohio-based fast food chain, which opened its first restaurant in Columbus back in 1969, started selling the Baconator in June of 2007. By March of 2008, it had sold over 68 million of the bacon cheeseburgers.

The Baconator was an attempt to revive Wendy’s after Dave Thomas died

The Baconator was launched in 2007 as part of an effort to revive Wendy’s in the wake of its founder Dave Thomas’ death in 2002. Back then, the number three burger chain was flailing and offers were on the table from rival companies. The chain had suffered with lower sales for a few years after Thomas passed, and those who are old enough to remember might be able to understand why. His appearances in Wendy’s commercials were always heart-warming and fun to watch. The company couldn’t seem to match the marketing magic that was Dave Thomas, until the genius invention and very catchy-named Baconator.

The Baconator was developed to appeal to men

In 2007, when then Wendy’s CEO Kerrii Anderson helped roll out the Baconator, she openly admitted that the meat-lovers mecca of a sandwich was definitely designed to appeal to a particular demographic — 18- to 34-year-old males, which at the time were the most common fast food consumers. The Baconator vision was dreamed up while Wendy’s was trying to reinvigorate both its menu and its marketing. The efforts paid off and the sandwich definitely boosted the brand’s status, and in 2008, Anderson reported that Wendy’s was developing a “Go Wrap” chicken sandwich to its “snack and value” menu, but this time in an effort to appeal to women. While nowadays this might seem like a bit of a gender stereotyping kind of ploy, we guess the numbers regarding men and fast food at the time didn’t lie.

Wendy’s sold 25 million Baconators in two months

To say the Baconator took the fast food world by storm when it first arrived would be a bit of an understatement. The bacon cheeseburger arrived in a full-on blaze of glory. Within two months of initially promoting the now-iconic Wendy’s bacon cheeseburger, the company sold 25 million sandwiches to hungry meat-eaters. In the summer of 2007, a few months after the Baconator mania took hold, then CEO Kerrii Anderson told Business Wire, “This is one of the most successful new product introductions we’ve had in some time.”

Wendy’s tried to push a spicy Baconator but it didn’t work

Look, not everyone can be the Baconator. We’re looking at you, Spicy Baconator (RIP, we barely knew ye). In March of 2008, Wendy’s tried to top its Baconator success story with another Baconator success story. The chain extended its Baconator line with a spicier version of the cheeseburger. Long story short, it’s not on the menu today. While the commercials were cute, for some reason, Americans just didn’t take to the spicy version of the bacon-on-beef classic.

The Baconator had its first child in 2012

In 2012, Wendy’s tried to quell the concerns of folks who really wanted a Baconator but couldn’t bring themselves to justify consuming a half a pound of beef plus six slices of bacon in one sitting. So for those who wanted a little less pork and beef, Wendy’s launched a baby Baconator, dubbed the “Son of Baconator.” The mini version of the Baconator made you feel a little less guilty than a full Baconator, serving up much less hefty burger patties (two 2.25-ounce beef slabs versus two quarter-pounders) and four instead of six slices of bacon.

The long-anticipated breakfast Baconator didn’t emerge until 2020

Wendy’s has a troubled history when it comes to breakfast. The chain tried to initially launch a breakfast menu in 1985 but pulled the plug after just nine months of slinging eggs. It tried in earnest to serve breakfast again in 2007 and then again in 2012 but still couldn’t quite gain Egg McMuffin-level traction. Cut to September of 2019 when Wendy’s once again announced plans to give breakfast another go. In February of 2020, the morning menu offerings started cropping up again at the chain’s outposts. They included a Breakfast Baconator and a Frosty-ccino, in perhaps another effort to capitalize on what they know already works (peeps do love their Wendy’s Frosty post-real meal).

Boat Stone 1200F Bluetooth Speakers

My current BlueTooth speakers which is a Boat Stone one that I bought over 3 years ago, is having some issues. The battery doesn’t get charged the way it is used to as now it lasts for less than a 3rd of the time that it used to. August 2023 Is A Special Month For The Working Man

August is a special month. And not just because it is my birthday month! Yes, my birthday is on August 2nd but it is a really good month due to the fact that I get 3 holidays or days off in the month.

Other than the 2nd as I got a day off on the 2nd, which was a Wednesday, yesterday was a national holiday due to it being Indian Independence Day. Hence it is a day off in the week, since it fell on a Tuesday. But we are not done, we also do have the Tuesday after next off. Why? Because it is Onam and yes I do get that day off as it is a state holiday. Even if it might not be a holiday in most of India, it is the biggest holiday/festival in Kerala.

Which means a little respite from the work week. Since I got two 4 day weeks instead of 5 word days, no I get to enjoy one more. That’s why I love August this year.

David Raya Joins Arsenal From Brentford On A Season-Long Loan

Spanish international goalkeeper David Raya has joined Arsenal from Brentford on a season-long loan. The 27-year-old has been an integral part of the Bees’ team in recent seasons, and played in all 38 of their Premier League matches last season. Born in Barcelona, David came to England at 16 years old when he signed for Blackburn Rovers as an academy player. A short-term loan to Southport in the National League, promotion to the Championship with Rovers and 108 senior appearances later, saw David depart Lancashire for west London in July 2019.

He’s gone on to make 161 appearances in all competitions for Thomas Frank’s team, and his first season for Brentford ended with his performances being rewarded with the EFL Golden Glove and narrowly missing out on Premier League promotion. He didn’t have to wait too long to play in the top tier of English football, when the following season David played a key role as Brentford beat Swansea City in the 2021 Championship play-off final to secure promotion.

Last year came with great success for David on the international stage; he was called up to represent Spain in March 2022, making his debut in a 2-1 win against Albania. David was then selected for Spain’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad. The end of the 2022/23 season saw David lift silverware with his country, when Spain beat Croatia on penalties to win the 2023 UEFA Nations League. As part of the agreement, there is an option to make the move permanent. David will wear the number 22 shirt, and everyone at Arsenal welcomes him to the club. The loan deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
