Arsenal are understood to have finalised a loan deal for Dani Ceballos. The 22-year-old midfielder will spend the entire 2019/20 season at the Emirates after Zinedine Zidane sanctioned the move. Ceballos, who has been capped six times by Spain, is seen by Unai Emery as the ideal replacement for Aaron Ramsey after he left for Juventus. The Gunners could announce the deal on Tuesday while they are also understood to be on the verge of finalising the signing of William Saliba from Saint-Etienne.
Arsenal are struggling to finalise a deal to sign Celtic defender Kieran Tierney. Sky Sports News claims that the Gunners’ second offer for the Scotland international has not gone down well with Celtic. Tierney has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Premier League side but the two clubs have yet to agree a price for him. It is understood the Hoops believe Arsenal’s offer of £18million plus £7m in add-ons is unrealistic because the additional payments are linked to Champions League qualification.
Crystal Palace have demanded one of Arsenal‘s youngsters as part of any deal for Zaha, according to reports. Unai Emery is hopeful of getting the deal over the line but the Gunners’ bid of £55m paid upfront and £10m in add-on is still short of the Eagles’ valuation. However, The Independent is reporting that Palace could also be interested in the possibility of having Nigeria-eligible winger Bukayo Saka coming over on loan as an alternative to Nelson. Saka’s performances for Arsenal especially in last season’s UEFA Europa League have always drawn the attention of some European clubs.
