Are you a night owl or are you the early bird? What’s your most productive time of day? When do you do your best work?
I think I can be both if the need arises but I certainly prefer and my body also will prefer for me to be a night owl compared to an early bird. What I have discovered during the last few days is that even if I sleep early, like 10:30 pm or 11 pm, waking up by 6am is a torture. I tried doing this the last two nights in a row but still, I need to put my alarm on snooze for atleast 20 minutes before I can even think of waking up.
Strange, while I was in Chennai (ok it was only for a week) I did not face this problem. The whole week I was there, I slept by 11:30 pm and woke up by 3am or so and did not feel sleepy or too tired. That was strange for me. I didn’t need to keep an alarm either. I shall chalk that one upto being uncomfortable sleeping in a strange bed.
Nights are a different matter and as long as I get enough sleep till late in the morning I can stay up longer at nights. I can be a better night owl than an early bird. It’s all a matter of choice I guess but my body appreciates a long sleep afterwards. Though I prefer being in bed by midnight at the most. I might sleep later, watching tv shows till about 2 am or so but I like being undressed and in bed by midnight.
