Bloomsbury in Lulu Mall – they have a shawarma on a pizza. Skewered chicken from the shawarma grill, black olives, lots of bell peppers and onions with Tahini sauce and garlic sauce with cheese. It became a bit too much after two or three slices.
Burger Hut’s Jumbo Cheesy Beef – The cheapest decent burger joint you can find in Cochin. Small burger patties with no fuss and none of the frills. Prices are very decent. They do have very decent shakes, a couple of which are pretty awesome. Decent fries.
The Real Texan comes with one juicy beef patty, sauces, fried egg, chicken sausages, lettuce and onion. The Burger Junction has awesome burgers and this one is no exception.
Dominos’s Chef Chicken Choice – grilled chicken rashers, bell peppers, paprika, black olives and cheese.
Burger King’s Chicken Whopper with French Fries and Pepsi. Medium fries is just Rs.10. Why do they have the whopper without cheese? You need to order it separately.
French Toast With Mushroom Gravy & Chicken Sausages at French Toast Cafe & Bakery – I would have thought that the mushroom gravy on the French toast would have been too much but it was pretty delicious. Their coffees though are pretty weak; the Iced Americano was blah!
Pizza Hut’s Chicken Sausage & Cheese Pizza with onions. Good pizza and I was glad to see that they have added more cheese to the pie.
On The Highway – Beef patty, salami, onion rings, fried egg, lettuce & cheese with French Fries on the side. A big burger that is a 9 outta 10. Cafe 17 never lets me down. Banana & chocolate shake to wash it down.
The Club Sandwich at Chai Kochi French Fries – eggs, chicken salad, lettuce, chicken ham, tomato with mayo. A frapuccino to wash that down. A just about above average sandwich which was more bread than anything else.
McDonald’s Cheesy Fries – a spicy and tangy sauce and lots of melted cheese on their regular fries.
Cafe Coffee Day’s American Classic Burger (Actually Sliders) – chicken cutlet patties, onions, lettuce. I wish Indian restaurants and cafes would stop calling things like American Classic when we could actually go to war with them for this ridiculous named item which falls short. The chicken patties were bland and the score of 6 is a generous one. When we are getting individually owned joints that do an awesome job in making juicy delicious burgers, a big franchise like CCD is making below par stuff.
The Single Chicken burger from Burgeria – chicken patty, cheese, lettuce. French Fries, peanut butter shake.
The Calabrese Pizza from 360 Degree Pizzeria – Italian pork sausage, red chillies, jalapenos, red & yellow peppers, mozzarella cheese, pesto sauce, Parmasan cheese and baby mozzarella. A feast for every soul.
Package opening time – I need to get back to reading more books. I barely do a book or two a year nowadays. Anyways, this book was intriguing so I definitely had to get it. The 5th book in the Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown. I really enjoyed three of the books and 2 of the movies were great.
Burger King’s The Shanghai Whopper has a never before combination of the signature Kung Pao Sauce and Crispy fried noodles for the authentic yin-yang flavors of Chinese cuisine. The mouth-watering Whopper continues to have the soft Sesame buns along with a flame-grilled patty made from 100% chicken for non-veg lovers. This unique burger is topped off with cheesy jalapeno sauce, onions, fresh tomatoes, crunchy lettuce and a slice of cheese
Burgeria is a nice standalone burger joint (though they have a new outlet up somewhere, I will have to confirm). This is their Mushroom cheese burger – mushrooms, beef patty, cheese, tomato and lettuce. I had French Fries and a peanut butter smoothie on the side.
Pasta Alfredo With Chicken Chunks at Bloomsbury. Very filling.
