Food Review #211

Burger Hut’s Jumbo Cheesy Beef – The cheapest decent burger joint you can find in Cochin. Small burger patties with no fuss and none of the frills. Prices are very decent. They do have very decent shakes, a couple of which are pretty awesome. Decent fries.

French Toast With Mushroom Gravy & Chicken Sausages at French Toast Cafe & Bakery – I would have thought that the mushroom gravy on the French toast would have been too much but it was pretty delicious. Their coffees though are pretty weak; the Iced Americano was blah!

Food Review #202

Cafe Coffee Day’s American Classic Burger (Actually Sliders) – chicken cutlet patties, onions, lettuce. I wish Indian restaurants and cafes would stop calling things like American Classic when we could actually go to war with them for this ridiculous named item which falls short. The chicken patties were bland and the score of 6 is a generous one. When we are getting individually owned joints that do an awesome job in making juicy delicious burgers, a big franchise like CCD is making below par stuff.

Burger King’s The Shanghai Whopper has a never before combination of the signature Kung Pao Sauce and Crispy fried noodles for the authentic yin-yang flavors of Chinese cuisine. The mouth-watering Whopper continues to have the soft Sesame buns along with a flame-grilled patty made from 100% chicken for non-veg lovers. This unique burger is topped off with cheesy jalapeno sauce, onions, fresh tomatoes, crunchy lettuce and a slice of cheese

Burgeria is a nice standalone burger joint (though they have a new outlet up somewhere, I will have to confirm). This is their Mushroom cheese burger – mushrooms, beef patty, cheese, tomato and lettuce. I had French Fries and a peanut butter smoothie on the side.
