Digging Up My Digs

500 years from now, an archaeologist accidentally stumbles on the ruins of your home, long buried underground. What will she learn about early-21st-century humans by going through (what remains of) your stuff?

Well that’s gonna be interesting. Hmmm what will they find! They will find my old underwear and my clothes. My laptop and my dvds and my blank disks and my external hardrives. My old porn magazines!

A few novels and books. My collection of Star Trek starship models. What else? My coffee mugs and beer glasses. My glasses and my bottles of water. My cooking utensils and bowls and plates and glasses. My fridge and my stove and iron box and shelves of books and knickknacks.

What else? I can’t think of anything else but the archaeologist will think all this stuff is boring but will be stumped by the starship models. What will he and his colleagues make of them? I wonder. 500 years from now, is not that long a time.
