Hoodwinked

Tell us about a time when someone had you completely fooled, where the wool was pulled right over your eyes and you got hoodwinked, but good. Was it a humorous experience or one you’d rather forget? What was the outcome?

I think that has happened way too many times and it’s because to a certain extent we all wear masks. Some of us are just better at hiding their faces behind it while the rest of us use the masks due to circumstances and will readily reveal our faces once we are done being cautious with strangers and are comfortable around people / situations. Most of these cases were not at all ones I call humourous (well unless you have a deviant bent of mind) and these are ones I’d rather forget :

  • A cousin sister of mine who I met for the first time at the age of 19. Two years later we became very close and she confided in me and told me her fears and her deeply intimate stories and behaved like a good innocent person who has had a lot of injustice happen to her. She came out as being sweet & nice but turned out to be a real bitch in the end. She fought with a few people in our extended family and I got hurt when she backstabbed me. I friggin hate the bitch.
  • Another situation, totally different that I do not want to get into much details here but very similar outcome. I went outta my way to be nice and give a friendly year to someone and she was a total bitch in return. But hahaha – she got hers without me having to do anything at all!
  • Several colleagues who hide their true intentions and will go outta their way to show you a friendly face while they will kick you when you are down and backstab you till kingdom come. I have had the worst sort of motherfuckers in an office and they will gang up on a few individuals if they can get some gain out of it or to cover their own asses.

Be honest, don’t make a show of being a good person or a decent person. Atleast don’t hurt anyone else for your lack of quality.
