So as I couldn’t use my laptop, I did not blog about my birthday as I usually do every year. The passing of time and it’s effect on us is evident more and more. Anyways, I have been alone at home for a little over 2 weeks as my father & mother are staying over at my sister’s place for a while. This is due to my father’s health and no post the dengue fever his body became so week that he needed help to get up and walk. There being more space there, it made more sense for him to be there and my mother too joined him, although she came in between to stay with me for 3 days.

So on the 2nd, which is my birthday, I had a leave already pre-planned back in January although since I am in a new process, I asked the manager if he wanted me to come in. Since he said to enjoy the day, I took my leave. I woke up at 7 am and I just as lazy the whole morning. I saw the multiple messages coming in on Whatsapp and Facebook and took time to acknowledge them. I had to cups of coffee and a nice quick breakfast of toasted bread and eggs a la bullseye. By 12 pm I booked an Uber and went to give my laptop at HP World so they could change my display.

Then I went to spend an afternoon with my family. Simple lunch of rice, veggies and fish but my sister also bought some fried chicken as my dad loves it. By 4:30 pm I was back in my apartment and in my bed for a light snooze. I then ordered a coffee from Starbucks and enjoyed it while watching Youtube. By 9pm I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and some wings and enjoyed the meal while listening to a popdcast. I as in bed by 11pm and watching sitcoms before sleep caught up with me. No cake, no celebrating, no alcohol and no hoopla. It’s boring to be 48!
