Loneliness Is A Lover Who Refuses To Break Up With Me

When was the last time you felt really, truly lonely?

All the time. All the goddamn fucking time! I can feel incredibly lonely and all alone when I am with a group of people or in a crowd of people! It depends on the company that you are with at the time. At the same time being with a single friend or two can make all the difference in the world. You won’t be alone at all and infact loneliness is the furthermost thing away from your mind.

I think it’s also because I have very different things that are important to me and that I hold close to my heart that most other people may not and because my interests and likes are different from the general public, only those who know me well and who understand me can share atleast some of that interests. I will feel comfortable in sharing my view points with them. If not then I will be silent or stick to and hence camaraderie will not be possible. This can make me feel like I am alone in the group.

As a 38 year old man who is unmarried and whose love life has been dead for several years and who has almost resigned himself to live out the rest of is life knowing that he will never know love again and be married and/or having children, that’s a lonely path to look forward to. Not having that life companion is hard, especially me who longs for having the love of his life be with him. Long lonely nights without a woman to hold on to is tough but that’s the way it looks like. I keep holding on, hoping that I am wrong and that things will change. But in my heart I know that it’s the bachelor for life for me.
