Ripping CDs

This will be the year of ripping my Cds and making mp3s out of the songs. I don’t want to waste electricity by using the pc and playing songs on my stereo – in fact I haven’t used it in a long while. So, I’m doing the wise thing and creating mp3s of all the songs in my cd collection. It will take a while, even though I do not have that big a cd collection like some people. I wish I could do something about the massive stack of tapes that I have! Casette tapes suck and I can barely play most of them. Oh well, there’s always Limewire and Kazaa to fall back on.

So to start off, I just picked three cds from my stack; just took the top three nearest to me and the first three are (drumroll please!!!)

perfect day a download

More to come later!

  1. Roshan,

Thanks for your comments on my blog. I’m enjoying reading through yours! If you get a chance for a vacation, you should travel to Canada one day and watch your Ottawa Senators.

    Good luck!

    Chad

  2. Thanks for visiting my site guys.

To answer your question, Sushant, yes I am a HUGE music lover and very passionate about music. I like different kinds of music but rock & metal is my fav. I also like the blues, country, alternative, some pop, world music & new age. What I can’t stand is most pop, boybands, girlbands, rap and Bollywood & Tamil music that comes out now. I also have a taste for some Indian & Western classical music. In a nutshell – I like good music!

And Chad, I really like ur pics. If I could ever visit Canada, I would find a way to never leave! And the Ottawa Senators rule! GO SENS GO!!

  3. Roshan,

You’ll be happy to know that after I left you the above message yesterday, I received a phone call from a friend with an extra Vancouver Canucks ticket! We live about 4 hours away, but I’m heading there now!

  5. Roshan! Hey buddy, long time no see… I didn’t even know you had a website. Looks good though man. Hey, if you want to put your tapes on mp3 (and don’t want to just download copies of them), you can just get a male/male headphone-style cable to go from a tape player into your computer. Then you just press play and save the files as mp3s using free software like Audacity (what I use).

Anyhow, I hope all is going well for you in the new year. Talk to you later.
