Create A Blog To Make A Difference To The World

As John F. Kennedy once said, “One man can make a difference.”

And he was right because there have been many examples of people in the world who have done just that. Martin Luther King, Gandhi, and Rosa Parks being just a few. And yes, we know Rosa Parks was a woman, but we’re pretty sure Kennedy was speaking about all people when he made his famous quote, and not just men!

Above and beyond the famous examples we listed, there are thousands of other people making a difference to the world today. There are many you won’t have heard of. These are the people who work in job roles saving lives. These are the people supporting the needy through charity work. And these are the people who make a difference in small ways, helping their neighbors and smiling at strangers.

Then there are the people who blog. While some focus on mastering the business side of blogging, perhaps to make a monetary gain as their primary interest, there are those who write with one mission: To make a difference in the world.

There are the eco-bloggers who seek to educate the world on green matters. There are those who blog to raise issues about injustice in the world. And there are many other bloggers who have a desire to make a difference to the world, in all kinds of ways. They sit at home, using their piece of the internet to inform and inspire their readers. They do it because they want to make a difference.

So what about you?

If you have ever considered blogging, or if you already do blog, why not do your bit to make a difference in the world.

If you’re an eco-warrior yourself, why not share your views with the wider world? You could let people know what you do to go green at home or at work. You could promote green companies so the general consumer knows how to shop ethically. You could raise awareness about the technologies used to protect the environment in industry. Click here for one example. And you can extend this by letting people know about the technologies they could be using at home. Smart bulbs are but one example.

Or how about standing up for the rights of others? The world is full of discrimination against people of color, the female sex, those with disabilities, and the LGBTQ community. If you are saddened and/or enraged about any such group being discriminated against, you could make a difference by supporting them through your blog. Check out these blogs on women’s rights, for example. By raising awareness and inspiring others to take action against injustices, you can make a difference.

So think about the issues you have an interest in. Above and beyond what we have already mentioned, there could be other topics you want to raise. You might not be Superman, and you might not be in politics, but with the written word, you still have a platform to make a difference from your little corner of the world.

There is plenty of advice online on how to get started with a blog, and we have blogging articles on this site that might be useful to you. So, if you have an interest in making a positive difference to the world (and to be honest, we all should), then don’t stay silent. Start a blog, market it through social media and internet forums, connect with interested readers, and make an impact.

You see, one person can make a difference, and today that person could be you.
