Do you have a tattoo? If so, what’s the story behind your ink? If you don’t have a tattoo, what might you consider getting emblazoned on you skin?
Yes I do and I have shared the story of me getting my first ink done last year while I was in Chennai for a week. I have a Japanese tribal style dragon on my right arm. That was my first and only one so far; my first tattoo which I got done at the ripe old age of 39. I had waited for so long to get ink done. But it’s not like we had good tattoo places to get one done in my city or anywhere nearby when I was in my 20s or my early 30s! We had a dearth of them and it has been only in the last few years that tattoo parlours have sprung up here. Just a couple here and there and you have more in cities like Bangalore, Chennai or Delhi.
So I finally have one and it’s been 10 months and I would like to get more. Atleast another one or two more. But the next time I would like to think up in advance as to what design I would like to get. This first one was a spur of the moment decision and I love it but I didn’t get much time to think. I would like to plan one out next time and find one design that means a lot to me and get that done. I have some ideas and I will pick a date and plan a visit to one place that is there in my town and they really have a great portfolio of awesome tattoos done and I guess I can safely pick them to do one for me.
What is left is to pick the design. And I’d like some colour this time.
