Whereever You Make It

“If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere,” goes the famous song about New York City. Is there a place — a city, a school, a company — about which you think (or thought) the same? Tell us why, and if you ever tried to prove that claim.

I think New York City is the one that everyone will hold that as a standard. Biggest city in the most powerful country in the world. Has a lot of beauty but a lot of madness and the most number of people, half of whom are probably in various degrees of stress and strain and madness of the hustle and bustle. So if you can survive and thrive there then it can be anywhere.

To compare that to other places I dunno. Each sport has their own tournament or event that is deemed the toughest to win and if you do it there than you can do it anywhere. The Stanley Cup because of it’s format, the US Open for tennis, Tour de France for cycling etc etc. I can’t think of a personal one for me. Everything has some value and hence I can’t pick just one.
