There’s way too many of them. There’s website, even a book. And to the US, I have just one statement after reading this : And you elected him to office…twice!!

I’m 6 days late and if I hadn’t been browsing Mike Boon’s blog I would have come to know about it even more later. Ricardo Montalban died on the 14th of January, 2009 – the first celebrity icon to pass away in the new year as far as I am concerned. He was 88 and he had a heart failure.

Montalban was born in Mexico city to Spanish parents and first made a name for himself playing role in Spanish language movies in his homeland. He would later become famous, after his move to Hollywood, in the tv role Mr. Roarke in the television series Fantasy Island, which he played from 1978 until 1984.
Another of his well-known roles was that of Khan Noonien Singh in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, in which he reprised a role that he had originated in the 1967 episode of Star Trek titled “Space Seed“.

He also acted in two Planet Of The Apes movies and was the villian in the first Naked Gun movie as well as the role of the spy grandfather in Spy Kids 2 & 3. May he rest in peace!
