Independence Day is almost upon us. Most of us are glad to have a 2 day weekend to kick back & enjoy some good times with family and/or friends. I plan to enjoy it to the fullest. And speaking of kicking back and enjoying some good times –  our Admin team were able to get us a cool deal.

The hotel Park Residency in Kakkanad is having a bash from 10 am till 5 pm on August 15th to celebrate another year of freedom. They are offering a grand lunch, 2 drinks & a live DJ shelling out music & access to a dance floor for couples. The charge is Rs.1000 for a couple but because we have a tie-up with the hotel, all HODs of my company (that includes me) will get a 50% discount! Rs.500 for what they are offering is a good deal and we could go as a group instead of couples.

However, my buddies Anil & Madhu want to hang out on Saturday and so I have to choose! It’s no contest, my buddies will win hands down. So I guess it’s coffee for an hour or two and then heading for a nice bar to have a few drinks for me & my friends on the 15th. It’s been a while since I’ve met the guys and I miss them.
