Coffee vs. Tea

I prefer coffee a whole lot more. It’s only in recent years, ok maybe the last 2, that I’ve started drinking tea here and there. I prefer black tea for when its hot. I also drank a few Hibiscus Genko tea which tasted really sweet and was quite fragrant. At this one cafe, which is now closed down, I used to enjoy Raspberry Tea, Lemon & Honey tea, served cold and delicious. I was particularly fond of Raspberry flavoured iced tea.

Coffee is ofcourse my favrouite drink, hot or cold. I’m addicted to it. I like all kinds of coffee – espresso, capuccino, lattes, mochas, frappes, ice coffees, macchiatos and all kinds of ice cold creamy goodness. When I go out I usually drink it cold as I can always get hot coffee at home. But to beat the heat, a cold coffee does the trick all the time. Unless I am slightly under the weather, in which case a nice hot Irish Coffee will do just fine.

Coffee wins 8 points to 2!

Another Series Bites The Dust

And now we have got a 3rd promising Scifi series cancelled. After Caprica, Stargate Universe it was the turn of V to feel the sharp edge of the proverbial axe as tv network ABC announced on May 13th that it would not be renewing the series for a 3rd season. However, the fan campaign “Project Alice” was reported to be petitioning Warner Brothers with a view to the show being renewed on a different network.

While it remains to be seen as to what happens to the petition, I doubt if V or any of the other 2 shows will come back. Caprica became too Soap Opera but it still was better than most of the stuff they show on tv. Stargate Universe was the best thing on tv for a very long time. I’d rate that series as one of the best 10 ever and yet they cancel the show after just 2 seasons. The only possible flaw, if you can call it that, is the fact that the show had too many characters which might have made it hard for some viewers to keep a track off. Personally, I love it but I can understand if some people had an issue with it.

And V? I was so excited that the show was being rebooted and the new show really looked very classy. When I heard that they brought Jane Badler and Marc Singer for new roles in the series, I was beyond giddy with happiness. But now they have been axed and it remains to be seen what will happen. Syfy channel is reduced to airing cooking shows (what the fuck) and people are waiting for the Battlestar Galactica prequel (and Caprica sequel) Battlestar Galactica : Blood & Chrome to come out. The pilot was green lit and production started in February.

I can’t believe that some really crappy shows lasts 5,7 or even 10 seasons while great shows get cancelled pretty early in their life. Just take a look at some of the listings on your cable channels and be flabbergasted.
