Rags to Riches

How much is too much? I have no frikkin’ idea. I know that I don’t make as much as I’d want to, not nearly enough. I would love to make a whole lot more. I spent years in a lower salary bracket and hence couldn’t wait until I get a raise and then another and another. I remember cursing myself and my bad luck when, after a promotion i was told that my salary hike wouldn’t happen immediately due to the excuse of the recession and stuff. While higher management gorged itself on big parties, traveling with the excuse of doing reviews and meeting, staying in the finest hotels, renting the best cars, eating the finest food – all on the company’s expense!

I waited and waited and was then given another promotion, this time in grade but was told that the pay hike would be delayed for another 6 months. Again screwed! I was so upset and pissed off – ofcourse they didn’t expect anything less than 100% on your performance but they could hold back your due money. And no adjustment given to you later. What the fuck! And during that time I came to know how much some of the higher ups were getting – 9 lakhs per annum, 10 lakhs, 12 lakhs! What the heck are you gonna do with Rs.1,00,000 per month to those buggers and you can’t increase my salary by a few thousands after promotions? Not just me but a few others also got screwed in this way!

Post me leaving that company, I’ve been to two other but I haven’t been able to get my salary raised by that much. Just a couple of thousand more. So I don’t know what it’s like to make too much money. I would love to. The more the better. I’d like to get my own place, which is not feasible now. I mean buy my own place. I need cash. Kill some of these GMs & VPs and give me some of that money! I want bucket loads of it. I want to swim in it, like Uncle Scrooge in those cartoons.

Shh, I’m Trying To Hear!

Ofcourse. If you do not want other people to over hear you maybe you shouldn’t be discussing a private matter so loudly in public. Like the two girls in the bus who discuss marriage proposals and stuff loudly right in front of me and then expect that no one will hear it. And gasping at the very though of someone having heard them discuss “sex on the wedding night”! And that one of the girls is not a virgin!!

The older man who was loudly speaking of some younger guy visiting his (the older man’s) wife/sister on a regular basis during the time of day when no one else is around in her house. And what he will do as retaliation. Try as much as I could, I could not drown out that older man’s loud ranting on his cell phone, in a voice loud enough for every one on the bus to hear. Privacy issue not for you, eh? If he is careless enough to ramble on so loudly in a public enclosed place, then he shouldn’t be surprised that every one in the bus got a earful of his dirty laundry being aired in public.

Mostly I try to avoid listening to such stuff – but some are funny, silly or juicy enough to tantalize you and you get caught up in the excitement and want to hear more of what is to happen. I am only human!

Criminal Minds – Season 7

Season 7 starts off with two familiar faces rejoining the team – JJ rejoins the BAU and later an emotional reunion with Emily shakes some of the members. Morgan has been tracking Doyle since the day Prentiss “died” and that Doyle’s son is in danger. In a race against time, Doyle is killed while trying to leave the country and his son is sent to live with a new family. After that rollercoaster of emotions and the end of a chapter, the BAU are sent to investigate a case where women are being found murdered after being robbed of one of their five senses in Oklahoma. JJ and Prentiss get the cold shoulder from Reid as he deals with their deception about Prentiss’ presumed death, while Rossi has a cooking lesson for the team to bring them together.

The BAU team then investigates a mass murder at an Internet security company in nearby Charlottesville but clues reveal it is not a typical serial killer at work. Meanwhile, Prentiss must complete recertification training under Morgan’s watchful eye. Survivors of a high school massacre in Boise that occurred in October 2001 return to remember the event 10 years later, but the BAU team is called in when a new killer with a similar style targets the survivors. Also, Hotch is worried that his son, Jack, may be a victim of school bullying, while Morgan and Reid exchange pranks. The BAU team investigates the abductions of young children with troubled mothers in St. Louis. Rossi reconnects with his first wife, who has shocking news for him – she is slowly dying and wants him to help her end her life. The BAU team investigates the abductions of young children with troubled mothers in St. Louis.

When a series of tornadoes hits Kansas, the BAU is called in to investigate bodies of young boys that turn up in the aftermath of the storms. A case turns personal for Garcia when the BAU investigate the disappearance of a woman in her survivors’ support group whose daughter went missing seven years earlier. When a small group of military academy youths commit a mass suicide, the BAU team looks into the real reasons behind their actions. Meanwhile, Hotch and Morgan disagree when a team member could be in jeopardy. Hotch has to stand up to Erin Strauss’s drinking problem and make her seek help. The BAU team investigates a string of fatal beatings in Philadelphia and looks into to the city’s boxing scene in search of the killer. Hotch makes a connection with an attractive runner, Beth Clemmons, as they both train for a triathlon. A series of murders in San Francisco bearing the tell-tale signs of the infamous Zodiac Killer have the BAU wondering if the notorious serial killer has returned. Also, Reid ponders if he should be doing more with his genius abilities. The BAU team searches for a serial rapist in Houston known as “The Piano Man” who has resurfaced and is assaulting his previous victims. Also, Prentiss tries to come to terms with her trauma from last year and with rejoining the team.  The BAU agents try their luck in Atlantic City when the team is called in to investigate a series of ritualistic casino-related murders. Meanwhile, after a spat with her boyfriend, Kevin, Garcia thinks she and Morgan may have gotten a little too friendly with each other.

The BAU are summoned to Southern California to investigate when a serial killer’s body dump is found in a lifeguard tower. A series of brutal home invasions and murders in California’s Inland Empire initially appear to be gang-related, but the BAU investigation may uncover a more sinister motivation. Meanwhile, Prentiss suffers from a mild gunshot wound. When the BAU travels to Atlanta to investigate the murders of women, the clues lead them to look for an unsub who is not working alone. When married couples fostering young children end up being killed in Seattle, the BAU team looks for an unsub with a maternal-yet-murderous instinct. Also, Garcia fears a possible proposition from Kevin. The BAU is called to Arizona when one young boy is found wandering the desert and another child goes missing, which hits close to home for Morgan. The BAU team heads to Oregon to investigate a series of gothic, ritualistic murders. A woman believes that she is fighting against the Devil and his wives; when she dies, the task is continued by her son and reluctant daughter. Morgan’s sister sees a girl who looks like their presumed dead cousin. Morgan has to confess to his family about the lie he told, and the BAU re-opens her case. After a serial killer is executed in Oklahoma, a copycat shows up and the FBI agents are called in to find him. Meanwhile, Prentiss gets nervous about a real estate purchase.

Rossi and the team present one of the longest-tenured serial killer cases to college students, and they take the class through a nearly 20 year chase for the murderer. When the BAU goes up against a gang of serial-killing bank robbers in Washington, D.C., the team tries to negotiate the situation unfolding inside the bank, but the stakes rise when JJ’s love, Will, gets dangerously involved. Also, a phone call from her former boss makes Prentiss ponder her future. As the BAU team continues to pursue the bank-robbing serial killers, the team determines that the suspects have a bigger target in the Nation’s capital, and with one of the team still a hostage, they must work quickly to defuse an explosive situation. Also, there are wedding bells for JJ, Strauss thanks Morgan for his help and Prentiss makes a decision about her future. She decides to leave the BAU and rejoin working for her old boss in Interpol. During JJ’s wedding, Prentiss dances and spends time with everyone as she emotionally says goodbye to the team.

Meet Barfi The Pug

My sister and her family have expanded their numbers from 5 to 6 with the new addition of a 30 day old pug puppy who they have named Barfi. After work this evening I went over to her place to visit my new…..nephew! He’s a lively little monster who seemed to be attracted to my socks. Here he is searching for my foot.

It’s my niece Geethanjali, who is now 6 years old, who named him Barfi after some stupid Hindi movie that she saw in the theatres. The pup  is kinda hers more than my nephews. She kept playing with him and cradling him like a baby and hugging him. The pup meanwhile is just so in love with her.

My Social Network

It has improved some relationships and it has not helped in a few. The best thing to look at it is that you can get to meet & become friends with like minded individuals either in your own locality, country or anywhere around the world. You can share ideas about things that make you laugh, cry, nostalgic, angry and what sets you thinking. Heck you can share things that make you horny! You also like funny pics of cats & dogs? So do I !

Ofcourse when you share your views online on Twitter or Facebook, you also run the risk of hurting the pride, political or religious views of some of the people you connect online with. They might even be people you know in real life and you might even see them quite frequently face to face. When something you said or posted or even reposted offends their juvenile sensitive feelings, then there might be a clash of egos. And you must be prepared for that. It can leads to arguments, both online and when you meet face to face next. You will also find out who you’re real friends are, which people are real dumbos and numbnuts who believe in any fairytale that they have been fed from childhood and the idiots! Sometimes you find it odd that people who you thought were of a different mindset actually share a bunch of common ideas as you. And you will be surprised with the answers and inputs they come up with.

Overall I think it’s good as you find out the truth behind those facades that people normally put. Often I find that people’s true nature comes out in the things that he/she reads, shares, likes and ofcourse comments. Their prejudices, hates and fears can come out in shining bright light and it’s there for all to see. Be prepared to stand up for your thoughts and ideas. And defend them if you believe in them. Otherwise it’s a lot of sharing the same pics and stupid messages, over & over again!

Commodity To Be Sold Off To Highest Bidder

I don’t get why parents in Kerala and for the most of the rest of India have such an attitude as far as their daughters are concerned. It’s as if having a daughter is like a big burden and they can’t wait till the girl is of marriageable age so they can quickly find some schmuck to push her onto and wash their hands of the matter altogether – putting Pontius Pilot to shame! This is so ridiculous that it is still happening in 2012 and in towns and cities – not just villages and rural areas but in the fucking urban areas!

One of my trainees, she is just 21 years old and will only turn 22 towards the end of December. She just completed her college degree in 2012 and had joined for her first job. A month after she started work she went back home for the weekend to find out that her marriage is already being fixed and that it will take place in a few short weeks. The reason is that the guy, who is 10 years older, works in one of the Gulf countries and only has leave for a few weeks. His parents had met this girl’s parents and got the entire thing arranged. So she called the HR and said that she will not be continuing work as she will be needing leave for the wedding and her family does not want her to work after the wedding, atleast for sometime. When she came to the office to do her final formalities, it took her a while to recall the groom’s name – she had only met him once! 3 weeks later, she got married.

And now another girl, her close friend infact, another trainee of mine, went home for the weekend and her father said that she looks tired and pale and little thin. If she is to get married in a few months (nothing is fixed as yet) she will need to maintain herself. What is she a fucking car? Dad’s think like that – “Oh she is getting thin. Need to plump herself up a bit before showing her off to some prospective grooms and families before she gets married”. She only turns 22 in November! Is she a commodity to be advertised and sold off? I see no differences in matrimonial ads and ebay/Amazon listings for devices and products! New, old, unused, still in factory condition, never been fucked, virgin, hymen intact and all that fucking shit!

I can’t believe how pissed off I have become on hearing such news. I vow, if I ever have a daughter, I will never ever treat her as a commodity or a burden!

Chowmein & Rape

From Times Of India (and this topic has been brewing online since it was published) “A khap panchayat in Haryana’s Jind district has blamed consumption of chowmein behind the growing incidents of rapes in the state saying it leads to hormonal imbalance. “To my understanding, consumption of fast food contributes to such incidents. Chowmein leads to hormonal imbalance evoking an urge to indulge in such acts,” said Jitender Chhatar, a resident of Jind’s Chhatar village and thua khap panchayat leader. “You also know the impact of chowmein, which is a spicy food, on our body. Hence, our elders also advised to consume light and nutritious food,” Chhatar added.

What the fuck? India can be so backward and Indians can be full of bullshit that it makes me sick to my stomach and ashamed of these idiotic assholes being in the same country as me and people like me! What on earth – this is why education is important and basic understanding of the way things work is necessary. Read a science book, pick up a national newspaper, go online and do some research and do not let your stupid, backward thinking, moronic ways set in per-historic times, filled with bigotry, superstition and religious nonsense dictate your words.

Last week, khap panchayats had evoked outrage after Sube Singh, a khap leader, advocated lowering of age of marriage for girls from 18 years to 16 years on the grounds that young girls are vulnerable to rapes and should be married off earlier. It is to rule over women that they come up with such shitty things. This is just one of many such cases. This country needs a kick in the nuts!

Federal Bank Issues Sorted Out

Just an update on my account with Federal Bank. Once again I am astonished at the wrong entries that their back end team does. I know that it is outsourced and that it’s mostly very young people handling the data entry at the outsourced center (I had applied for a training manager post at the same center in January of this year) but they have goofed up my application 3 times. And this is why my netbanking and transaction activation took so long.

It seems that they messed up my email id from the form and hence the first delay in activating the netbanking itself. It took them 4 weeks to sort that out. Then as I found out yesterday they entered my voter’s id card number incorrectly and my mother’s maiden name incorrectly as well. Which is why I was not able to activate transaction via netbanking cause I failed in 2 questions that you must entere to activate it.

It took a helpful call center agent who verified all my details and set things right for me. Under her directions I was able to activate my transaction and now have paid off some of my bills online using Federal bank. So finally 2.5 months after my bank account was activated I now have full fledged netbanking too.

Relaxing At The End Of A Stressful Day

It’s pretty simple for me. I don’t want to do much after a particularly stressful day. Obviously I just want to de-stress and chill out and not have to work my brain cells too much. Once I leave the work place and hop onto the bus and then the question comes as to where I am headed to – home or somewhere else. It’s 50-50 at this point, I can go out for sometime and enjoy an evening out or go straight home with maybe just a quick stop to buy some supplies. But either way it’s good for me.

On some days I’d like to go out and either go to a coffeeshop or a bar, depending on my mood. I’d like a nice thick cold coffee or a hot one depending on the weather and have either some fries or a sandwich and relax to the tunes that they play at the cafe. It’s a lot better if I have my headset so I can listen to my choice of tunes saved onto my BlackBerry as I sip my coffee in the cafe. Munch on French Fries or a nice hot sandwich and think about nothing. If I am really hungry I might skip the coffeeshop and go for some good food at one of the places that I like to frequent. Drink a Sprite or Mountain Dew or an iced tea with my dinner. Or if I am in the mood, go to a bar for a beer or some vodka and some food at the same place. Sink back in the comfortable booth as I watch some tv in one of my favourite bars and drink in peace.

The other way is to just come home, put the kettle on, make some coffee, change to my pjs and blast some of my favourite rock songs while I have a snack and drink coffee. Ofcourse with air guitar in …..hand! Playing those crunching riffs and awesome melodic solos. Singing with a passion that cannot be compared. Play some comedy clips on Youtube and laugh myself silly. See what those in the Western countries are enjoying. It’s all good. More music. And to wind it out, watch some of my favourite tv shows or a movie. By bed time, I’m a changed & charged up man!

Bye, Plinky!

What the fuck? No. Why? Why is this happening? Where will I get my prompts now?

After 384 answers on Plinky, it looks like I’m losing the blogging prompt service that started in November of 2008. This is terrible news. I’ve relied on Plinky to set my brain cells working and get some blog posts running on my website. A simple question that will get me thinking and bring forth a life experience, an event, a viewpoint or something I had even forgotten from my childhood – Plinky was a simple awesome little thing that helped me maintain my nearly daily posts on this blog from 2009 onwards.

I just loved this website and often visited it unless I already had a post idea or two brewing in my mind or wanted to post about something that happened that day. I’m gonna miss them.

Update : Apparently, it was just a question or a blog prompt submitted by one of the regular contributors. So they are not going away. Yay!

My Cellphone Chronicles

Yes I do have a cellphone. I currently use a BlackBerry Bold 9780 as I have a hard on for BlackBerry. Here is my history of using cellphone and I’m gonna try and do this chronologically and as accurate as possible:

November 2002 : Almost bought a Nokia 3310 but changed my mind at the last moment as I didn’t have the money

July 2003 : bought my first cellphone, a Motorola T190. Very solid but not user friendly at all. Black and grey screen.

March 2004 : Bought a Samsung R220. Nice phone.

September 2004 : Sold the Samsung and bought a Nokia 1100 (the made for India phone)

October 2005 : Bought my first colour screen cellphone – a Sony Eriksson K500i. Colour display, camera, GPRS & MMS. Had solid sound playback but very limited storage space.

June 2006 : I wanted a flip phone so badly and got the Motorola Razor V3i. Loved it so much.

April 2007 : No idea why but I sold the Razor and got a Samsung SGH E250. It was an ok, slider phone but I have no idea why I sold the Motorola.

November 2008 : The Samsung SGH got damaged after I tripped and fell on the railway tracks and I got a Nokia 2600. I hated this phone but it was cheap and I didn’t want to spend much on a phone at the time. I also went through a ‘don’t care about phone stage for a while”. During this time I also used an iphone for 2 months that was in my possession at work. Wasn’t impressed.

Jan 2010 : Got my first BlackBerry, the Curve 8320 and I love it still. It’s a bit damaged but it still works and I have it in a drawer stored as a possible backup.

April 2012 : Bought my current phone, the Bold 9780. I had to return the first one they sent me, which was a white one, due to a software issue and then got the black one. Love it a lot!

Saturday Afternoon Out With My Cousin

I hadn’t met my cousin Sujith since the first week of August. When we usually meet it’s to discuss Science Fiction movies & tv series, maybe some music and stuff. And ofcourse to eat some good food and have a few drinks. Today we spoke in the morning and decided to meet up in the early afternoon. Today’s destination is our favourite place – Golden Dragon (the original branch in Ravipuram) at around 12:30pm.

I met him at the assigned time and we went in after a brief stop at the ATM on the main road. We wanted the above dish which was Szechwan fried prawns. Delicious but I remember them being much bigger than this. We also ordered some vodka and Sprite.

We also had some dragon chicken and then spilt some fried rice & noodles with garlic prawns and Hong Kong chicken. Alhough the food was good the waiters messed up our orders and came back twice saying that a dish we had ordered was not available. Plus they also got our bill wrong at the end, charging us for something we didn’t get and not charging us for a dish we ordered. I dunno what has happened to these guys. This has never happened there before!

Anyway we had a wonderful time drinking our vodkas and eating good food and chatting for almost 3 hours and 45 minutes. This is one reason we love this place; great authentic Chinese food and they serve alcohol and you can chillax for hours. Post that we decided to get some sundaes and went to Cocoa Tree and ordered their Rocky Road sundaes which are just awesome. This place also has a lot of chicks any time of the day. That done by 5:15pm we left our separate ways.

Abbott & Costello : Armed Forces Movies

Last year I took a look a series of Abbott & Costello movies that featured the classic monsters from Universal Pictures and how awesome they were and funny they were. This time let’s look at some more of their movies, with an armed forces theme. One thing I have to mention is that I had stopped getting Abbott & Costello movies after the monster movies and the first movie in this review and only recently started getting the rest of the movies again. Which explains the delay of a year between these two posts.

Ok now so on to the movies; the first one (and their second feature film overall) is Buck Privates which was released in 1941. Abbot & Costello (once again, I shall forgo their character names and just refer to them as Abbott & Costello) are con salesmen selling low quality ties to men on the streets when they are chased by a cop. Thinking a long cue to be for the movies, they step into an Army requirement center and are drafted into the army. Millionaire playboy Randolph Parker and Bob Martin, who takes his service more seriously, are also enlisting at the same place as our comedic duo.  Randolph expects his influential father to pull some strings so he can avoid military service, which incenses Bob. Tensions between the two men escalate with the introduction of Judy Gray (the beautiful Jane Frazee), a camp hostess and friend of Bob’s upon whom Randolph sets his sights. Meanwhile Abbott & Costello are not too thrilled to see that the cop who was chasing them is now their drill sergeant in the army.

Randolph soon learns that his father will not use his influence on his behalf, believing that a year in the Army will do Randolph some good. Life at camp is not so bad, since the Andrews Sisters appear at regular intervals to sing patriotic or sentimental tunes, and Costello continues to screw up with major comedic effect. After initial screw ups by Randolf he later sorts things out and both he & Bob are chosen for Officer Training School and Judy is sent to be a hostess at the same camp.

In The Navy sees a popular singer Russ Raymond change his name & identity to Tommy and join the navy. However, Dorothy Roberts, a reporter, discovers his identity and follows him in the hopes of photographing him and revealing his identity to the world. Tommy befriends Abbott & Costello who are assigned to same ship as him and they help hide him from Dorothy, who hatches numerous schemes in an attempt to photograph Tommy/Russ being a sailor. Costello is in love with Patty, one of The Andrews Sisters, sends her numerous fan letters, and tries to impress her with false tales of his physique and his naval rank. Eventually, Patty discovers that he is only a baker, and Costello spends much of the movie attempting to win her affection.

One of the memorable scenes is when Costello impersonates a captain and puts the battleship through a series of madcap maneuvers. There was, however, one problem before it could be released: when the film was screened for the Navy, officers were offended by the sequence, which the studio solved the problem by making the sequence as being in his dream. Abbott and Costello perform the “Lemon Bit,” a crooked shell game routine; the math routine, “13 x 7 = 28”; and “Buzzing the Bee” (called Sons of Neptune), an initiation routine where the team tries to trick the other into asking to be sprayed in the face. During this sequence, Costello began laughing and spit his water on the deck.

The next is Keep Em Flying is taken from the official motto of the Army Air Force. Jinx Roberts is a stunt pilot and his assistants are Abbott and Costello. All three are fired from the carnival and air show that they work for after a disagreement. Jinx decides that he should join the Army Air Force, so they go to a nightclub to party one last time. There Jinx meets and falls for club singer Linda who also joins the USO as a hostess.  It turns out that Jinx’s instructor, Craig Morrison, was his co-pilot on a commercial airplane years earlier, and the two still hold animosity for each other. Meanwhile, Abbott & Costello join the air corps as ground crewman and fall in love with twin USO hostesses (Martha Raye in a dual role).

Jinx attempts to help Jimmy solo, nearly getting him killed. For his efforts, Jinx is hated by Linda for nearly killing her brother and is dishonorably discharged from the corps, along with Abbott & Costello, who has their own mishaps. As they are leaving, Craig gets his parachute caught on the tail end of the plane that he just jumped out of. Jinx confiscates a plane and comes to his rescue. For his heroic actions, he is allowed back into the corps and gets back Linda.

Two years after WWII ended Buck Privates Come Home was released as a sequel to 1941’s Buck Privates. After serving in Europe during the war Costello & Abbott return to the United States aboard a troop ship. They manage to screw up a party for the boys and infuriate Seargent Collins even further when it is discovered that Costello smuggled a small French orphan girl, Eevy, onto the ship. She is handed over to Lieutenant Sylvia Hunter (Joan Fulton) who delivers her to immigration officials in New York. However, during a shift change at the office, Evey is mistaken for a neighborhood kid and set free. Meanwhile, Herbie and Slicker are back to their pre-war occupation of peddling ties in Times Square. Collins is back at his old job as well, as a police officer assigned to the same beat. He is about to arrest the boys when Evey shows up and helps them escape.

In order to adopt Evey one of them has to be married and Evey asks Costello to marry Sylvia but she already has a boyfriend Bill. Bill is a midget car racer. He is sure he will win the $20,000 prize at the Gold Cup Stakes, but his car is being held at a local garage until past due bills are paid. Herbie and Slicker use their separation pay and loans from their old service pals to get the car out of hock. Collins tries to stake them out to capture Evey with them. He eventually chases them to the track, where Herbie gets in Bill’s race car and leads everyone on a wild chase through the streets of New York. Costello is eventually caught, but not before the head of an automobile company is impressed enough to order twenty cars and 200 engines. With his financial future secure, Bill can now marry Sylvia and adopt Evey. And Abbott & Costello get jobs as beat cops ….with Collins as their instructor.

And finally 1950 saw Abbott & Costello In The Foreign Legion – as wrestling promoters Abbot & Costello go to Algeria to bring back Abdulla, a prized wrestler who left the business as he didn’t like the scripted matches. Meanwhile, Abdullah’s cousin, Sheik Hamud El Khalid and a crooked Foreign Legionnaire, Sergeant Axmann, have been raiding a railroad construction site in order to extort “protection” money from the railroad company. When Bud and Lou arrive, they are mistaken for company spies, and the Sheik and Axmann attempt to murder them. Lou outbids the Sheik for six slave girls, one of whom, Nicole (Patricia Medina), is actually a French spy assigned to gain entry into the Sheik’s camp. The boys are then chased, only to wind up hiding at the Foreign Legion headquarters, where Axmann convinces them to join.

he Commandant then grants Bud and Lou a pass into town where they meet up with Nicole. She informs them that they must search Axmann’s room for proof that he is a traitor, but he catches them in the act. However, they are spared, only to end up at a Legionnaire desert camp. Just before the camp is ambushed by the Sheik’s men, Bud and Lou wander off in search of a camel, and escape death. They are eventually captured, along with Nicole, who is put in Sheik Hamud’s harem. The Shiek orders that one of his wrestlers execute them. The wrestler turns out to be Abdullah, who helps them escape. They head to Fort Apar, where they lure the Sheik’s men, and blow it up. They are given awards by the Commandant and honourably discharged from the Legion. Lou thanks Nicole for helping them and gives his award to her before they leave, only for Bud to find out that Lou is taking the six slave girls with them back to the States.
