We all have complicated histories. When was the last time your past experiences informed a major decision you’ve made?

I hate to admit this but my past experiences have made me bitter and cynical. I also do not trust most people and have a disdain for people who push authority on others. I say this because I was known to be a rather trusting and believing that people are always genuine and always blindly believing that bad things would not happen to me when dealing with others as I wouldn’t purposely do any harm to them either. Rather naive I guess!

In the past few years I have changed. Let’s say post 2007 onwards and I moved from a “trust everything blindly” to a “trust no one, let them prove themselves to be worthy first and then wait some more before easing up” am more of a “trust no one, let them prove themselves to be worthy first and then wait some more before easing up”. And that’s what life’s experiences have shown me. Because there is always another asshole just waiting for a chump like you to take advantage of and use you as a stepping stone to further their agenda and success and who do not care if you get hurt in the process. So be aware and beware!

Some of you may read this and go “how bleak and cynical” but walk a mile in my shoes and say the same!
