Eye Of The Beholder

Is there a painting or sculpture you’re drawn to? What does it say to you? Describe the experience. (Or, if art doesn’t speak to you, tell us why.)

I love some art but I don’t think anyone particular painting or sculpture has ever drawn me so much that I get lost staring at it. There are some really fine art all around the world but I haven’t been that involved in discovering such stuff even if I do have a fine appreciation for most of them. Especially sculptures as I find that I love looking at full figures more than just a 2 dimension art work, even though some can be breathtaking.

But images of science fiction art work like the starships and planets in shows like Star Trek – I could stare at them for hours. I can imagine what it would be like to travel in and live on such a spaceship or alien world and what wonders I would see during my time spent on it. That truly captures my imagination and I find myself drawn towards several of those images.

I guess I am a futuristic dreamer. I dream in scifi!
