Three Things Removal Companies Must Have
Moving home is stressful at the best of times and when you’ve got a lifetime of memories to be delicately packed and shipped, you’re looking at finding a removal firm that knows and values how important your shipment is to you and your family.
It’s important that you find a removal company that speaks your language and that you can trust with your precious cargo. In this blog, we take a look at three things your removals company must demonstrate before you hire them for the big job of moving you across state.
Communication
The last thing you need when trying to organise a move is to spend hours on the phone to a company and no-one picking up. Even worse than that, when you do finally get through you spend hours explaining your query and are left unclear whether your problem or question has really been answered or not.
You’ll have a good idea from your first impression of the company whether they are going to be good communicators. How did they deal with you when you made your initial inquiry? Was the information they gave you clear and easy to understand? How did they handle any questions you had? If there are any red flags with any of these questions, consider talking to other companies about your moving needs.
Speciality
For the most part moves, long haul or just across town, are fairly straightforward. You have your key dates and it’s up to the removal firm to pack you and unpack you at the other end. But now and again you’re looking for something a little more specialised. This might be because you’re transporting fine art, antique furniture or because you have a piano that needs some extra care.
Rather than finding a general moving company, you’re looking for experienced piano movers. It might seem straightforward to move an instrument of this size but the awkward shape and the ease in which it can go out of tune or get damaged, makes it a job that only the experts should handle.
Give Options
Moving home isn’t cheap and your removal company should offer you options that reflect your budget. They should show the various options around moving insurance as well the different packages they offer when it comes to packing. You might choose for your removal company to pack up everything for you, from plates to shoes or you might choose to save a little money and do the job yourself, requesting boxes from them to do the job.
When it comes to moving home, you want the experience to be as stress-free as possible. Getting all the logistics in place so the move runs smoothly is hard enough, so you want movers on your side.
Shop around, pay special attention to the communication and what options your removal companies offer you and find a firm who matches your expectations and your budget. Get packed, get moved and get settled with movers that you can trust.

Making The Land Around Your Business A Bit Healthier
Your business may be operating out of a brownfield site, and whilst the environmental repercussions of that aren’t exactly massive, a continued use of the space may just add up over time. And when you think about it, offsetting your business’ carbon footprint is the name of the game in the modern day and age!
Even if you’re not working in an agricultural or environmental sector, you can do your bit to grow out and green up what’s surrounding your commercial property. So, to make your business look picture perfect from the outside, and to help make sure the world you’re living in and working out of is sustainable for the future, here are some ways to make the land your company owns a bit healthier.
Is it Green Enough Out There?
The greenery surrounding your business might need working on. After all, the more green and healthy your environment is, the more natural biodiversity you’re introducing to the area – and if you work within the inner city, you’re definitely going to be in need of a few more plants and trees around. If to clean up the air, if nothing else!
So, you might want to think about pulling your gardening gloves on, or hiring a team of professional gardeners to do the job for you. You’re going to need to til and irrigate the soil, at the very least, to make it usable and healthy for the years ahead. And the more you prepare now, the greater the rewards you’ll be reaping in the future; think about all the new plants you can dress your curb up with, as well as starting your own community vegetable patch. Simply put, focusing on your environmental greenery helps both the natural world and the human one!
Think About a Water Source
If you’re working on a property that has surrounding greenery, and space for a bit more, you can turn your mind towards including a water source. This is a great addition to any garden, whether it be a domestic or a commercial one, and you’re definitely going to enjoy seeing the new wildlife it brings to your working area. There’s nothing like peeking out of the window whilst at your desk and seeing a whole host of different birds and pond life come to visit!
And speaking of ponds… It’s the most accessible form of water feature, and could be a great focal point for your commercial landscaping design. Think about the curb appeal it would add to your business front; don’t worry, it won’t take much upkeep once it’s been built when you have something like a Tsurumi submersible pump in place to keep things flowing.
The land that surrounds your business, as part of the property you invested in when you first started out, deserves a little more love and attention. Hopefully we can help you give it!

The Changing Legal Landscape In Britain
The legal landscape is always shifting. This makes complete sense because certain laws become redundant as society evolves. Some laws are simply viewed as unethical when viewed through the lens of a newer generation. In any case, it’s worth keeping an eye on these seemingly-minor changes in society. Whilst the occasional law change might seem insignificant in the grand scheme of things, it’s important to remember that society doesn’t change overnight. Every development in the field of public law should be taken seriously. With that in mind, let’s talk about how the legal landscape is changing in Britain.
Income.
Something that affects everyone is income law. No matter your age, background, gender, or political persuasion, everybody has to earn money to survive in the modern world. This hasn’t changed for the past couple of centuries, but the laws surrounding income change with every passing year. In 2019, the UK has seen some major shifts in terms of income law. For starters, the National Minimum Wage has increased. So, not all legal changes are negative; this is great news for people in the lowest income bracket. Additionally, the income tax threshold has increased. That’s good news for low earners, yet again – you won’t have to pay any income tax until you earn over ÂŁ12,500. The law involving pension contributions has changed, too. Both employers and employees have to contribute 3% and 5%, respectively, to auto-enrolment pension schemes. But that’ll benefit you when you retire.
Technology and law enforcement.
It’s not just the laws that are changing. Over recent decades, police organisations have had to update the way in which they enforce those laws. For both the organisations and the citizens in those constituencies, it’s well worth paying attention to these changes. As technology develops and improves, the police have to adapt and come up with technological solutions to the changing landscape of crime. You might want to do some research on digital policing. With the power of data collection on their side, modern police organisations can do so much more to investigate criminal activities and react to situations effectively. It’s worth appreciating that this is leading to a massive shift in the way that police officers enforce the law.
Road laws.
Most people slack off a little once they’ve passed their driving tests. However, having a license doesn’t mean that you’re an expert on road law until the end of time. Laws are always changing. You might have got all of the answers right on your test, but the questions on a typical driving test will already look majorly different after a few years of passing. In other words, you need to keep up with the legal landscape with regards to British roads. For starters, the Highway Code has updated the law concerning overtaking cyclists. Starting this year, motorists have been warned to leave at least 1.5m between their vehicle and cyclists in order to avoid being fined. If you didn’t know that, then it might be time to refresh yourself on both the Highway Code and current road laws in 2019.
Sunday Morning Shopping In Hypermart
If you want to go to Lulu Hypermart for shopping for groceries and stuff, then go on a weekday in the morning hours before late afternoon. For me, Sunday morning is the day for doing it. I remember going a couple of times in the morning, by 9:45 am and still they have a lot of people in it. The problem is, we don’t have large groceries stores like Walmart or Sobeys or Costco etc etc. We have just this one Hypermart in the entire city and state – well atleast until the Thriuvananthapuram and Calicut malls open.
Anyways, I went yesterday but it was later than I wanted to. I kept the alarm for 7 am so I could leave by 9ish. However since I went to bed only by 2:30 am and slept fitfully I went back to sleep till 8:30 and only left my home a little after 10am. I was in the mall by 10:30 am and quickly had a breakfast of an ice cold latte and a chicken & cheese sandwich at Costa Coffee and then found a cart and went in. It was quite busy but not as busy as it usually is in the evenings. Getting there by 9:30 am is actually much better.
I bought soaps, I bought some chocolate, cheese, apples, plums, eggless mayo, nuts roasted in pepper, cashewnuts, fresh baked cookies, hamburger buns and bread, biscuits, dates, coffee, sugar etc etc. It cost me quite a bit (trust me these things are expensive here) but it was fun and it had been a year since I last went to hypermart. I just wish we had more of them and that they were cheaper.

Circle (2015)
Circle is a 2015 American psychological thriller film written and directed by Aaron Hann and Mario Miscione. The ensemble cast includes Carter Jenkins, Lawrence Kao, Allegra Masters, Michael Nardelli, Julie Benz, Mercy Malick, Lisa Pelikan, and Cesar Garcia. It was inspired by the 1957 drama 12 Angry Men and was shot in 2014. It premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival on May 28, 2015, before being released to video-on-demand on October 16, 2015.
In the film, fifty people wake up in a darkened room, only to find that one of them is killed every two minutes or when they attempt to leave. When they realize that they can control which person is selected to die, blocs emerge based on personal values. Â When someone ignores the warning and leaves formation, a beam from the dome kills them, and the dead are eventually removed by unseen forces. Thereafter, every two minutes, another person is killed. After several people die, they realize the technology allows them to use hand gestures to vote for who dies, while arrows on the floor show each person their own vote but not others’. They attempt to all boycott the vote, but someone is still randomly selected to die.
First the group decided to eliminate the elderly so they get more time to evaluate the situation and come up with a plan. A young man, Eric, remembers attempting to flee Los Angeles, and others concur. Eric says that he was pulled into the air, later waking in a red room with other humans. The old man next in line agrees, saying he saw and heard aliens. The college guy suffers the next elimination after he aggressively targets a 52-year-old cancer survivor over the objections of people who do not consider her elderly. Several people say they recognize the others: a man identifies the woman next to him as his wife, another man identifies the doctor who was having an affair with him, and a tattooed man is eliminated after he admits to a cop’s accusation of domestic abuse. After several minorities are quickly eliminated, an African-American man claims the process has become racist. Several others dispute this, but when the cop goes on a racist rant, he is selected next.
They find that they cannot vote for themselves and attempt to give one vote to every person in the circle. One man gives a second vote for a pregnant woman, so Eric votes for him; this causes a tie and the man is killed in a run-off vote. The group realizes that one of the final two people left must not vote (and be killed) to render a winner.  After several take their own lives by leaving formation to buy the others time, an atheist antagonizes the theists who praised the volunteers’ faith. The atheist is briefly saved, but when he mocks the girl beside him for having had her boss pay for her breast enhancements, he is killed. A lesbian becomes a target, but the lawyer who argued strongest for her selection is killed instead. After several eliminations, two main blocs emerge. One bloc (led by Eric, a soldier, and a one-armed man) believes that everyone should sacrifice themselves to save the pregnant woman and a girl for last, and the other bloc (led by a bearded man and a rich man) wants to eliminate them immediately as a threat to their survival, as they believe everyone is equal, and no special privileges should be afforded to anyone.
A husband is forced to vote with Eric’s bloc when they threaten to eliminate his wife, but, under interrogation, the couple admit they concocted the relationship to curry favor, resulting in the husband’s elimination. Finally it’s just Eric, the pregnant woman, the girl, and a silent man who has never voted. Eric theorizes that aliens have used the process to learn about humanity’s values. After the silent man is eliminated, Eric and the girl agree to simultaneously sacrifice themselves. As the girl commits suicide, Eric instead casts a last-second vote to kill the pregnant woman, then the pregnant woman’s unborn child. Eric wakes in Los Angeles where he joins a group of people, composed of an equal amount of women, men, and children, watching a fleet of alien crafts.
The script covers political, social, and psychological issues and reminds me of a Twilight Zone style story. I did not like the ending though as it leaves a lot of unanswered questions and leaves the fate of the survivors in doubt. The rest of the movie is pretty solid. I give it a 7 outta 10!

These Tips Will Help You To Improve Your Business Logistics
If you run a business, there’s a high chance that you’ll have to deal with a lot of different expenses. The biggest one will most likely come from buying and transporting product, so if you want to save money, then this is a great place to start.
Optimise your Warehouse Layout
Having a great warehouse layout is crucial if you want to maximise your level of productivity. You have to make sure that your team can find all of the products they need, and you also need to make sure that any items that are selling well are located near the front of the warehouse. This will make it much easier to transport them and you will also find that it saves your team time too. Of course, it’s also important that you track your sales too. If a single product becomes more popular then you need to have a flexible strategy so that you can move it into a prime-picking position. Cross-docking is a fantastic solution here.
Best Picking Strategy
The faster your team can pick their orders, the more efficient your business will be. For this reason, you have to make sure that you have the right strategy. There are so many different methods to choose from here, so take your time and choose one that reflects your business structure and the type of products that you sell to your customers.
Technology
You’d be surprised at how much technology and robots can speed up the warehouse process you have. Voice picking is also very useful, as it gives your workers the chance to be way more productive. Rather than having to check notes or even picking requirements, they can just use their voice to direct operatives to pick the items they need, and this completely eliminates the need for handheld scanners and even clipboards too.
Stock Planning
Balancing the demand of certain products in your warehouse can be difficult to say the least. You need to make sure that you have the right amount of stock while also meeting customer demand. On the flip side, you also have to ensure that you don’t have too much money wrapped up in slow-moving stock as this will take up space in your warehouse and it will also make it much more difficult for you to streamline your stock management.
Transportation
Your warehouse will only ever be as efficient as your transport. If you have a great warehouse process then this will speed things up for your business, but if your transport strategy is slow or clunky then this will undo all of the changes you’ve made. If you want to help yourself here then it helps to look into GPS fleet tracking companies as this is a great way for you to find out where your transport is going while also finding out if there is anything that you can do to enhance the process. You can also find out which drivers are underperforming too, which is another major bonus.
The Games We People Played
Tell us what family game night looks like in your world.
Well I never played board games or card games with dad, mom & my sis but my cousins, my sister and I used to have long game sessions either board games or cards. And it was a lot of fun.
Growing up during our summer holidays, Onam & winter breaks we gathered in our grandmother’s large house and sometimes at my home or another cousin’s home. During the evenings and/or rainy days we played carroms, Monopoly, or the Indian version Hind Trade, Scrabble or card games like Donkey!
They were fun times and we’d had mock arguments that usually ended up in laughter. Or we’d play quiz competitions and listen to music. Those were the days!

Is Technology Making The Roads Safer?
It’s become a common trend to focus on the positive side of technology, while ignoring the negatives which can come with it. Often times, it isn’t until problems emerge that people realise that the machines which have been made aren’t good for society, and this can be too late to solve the problems which have been caused. A great example of this comes in the form of cars themselves. They proved to be a cheap and easy way for normal people to transport themselves in comfort, but have quickly become a huge burden on the environment. When it comes to roads, though, could similar technological problems start to emerge?
Cameras
There are countless cameras to be found in modern cities and towns, with just about anywhere you go covered by these digital eyes. They are in place to protect people and property, while also being a great tool when used as evidence. In wrongful death cases which occur on the road, this can alter the entire course of the proceedings, proving without doubt that someone has failed as a responsible driver. Of course, though, they can also present some challenges, especially when it comes to gathering the evidence, as a lot of cameras are private, and businesses aren’t always very good at scouring their footage.
Speed/Legal Traps
Along with cameras, there is an array of other types of sensors which can be found on modern roads. Speed traps are one of the most common of these, and they are designed to catch people who are breaking the speed limit. In a lot of cases, these devices will only serve to make people change their speed erratically. No matter where they are hidden, people will always know where they are, and this makes it easy to avoid getting caught. There’s definitely room for argument that changing speed without warning to other drivers is more dangerous than driving a little faster than you’re supposed to. Similar tools can be used to find cars which are insured properly.
Self-Driving Cars
Finally, as the last piece of technology to consider, it’s time to think about something which the technological community seems to love at the moment; self-driving cars. There are several obvious flaws with this type of idea. For one, current AI systems aren’t capable of responding to situations with the same level of fluidity as the human mind. As an example, it can be easy for a car to avoid one obstacle on its own, but if this puts another one in its path then problems will often start to arise. As time goes on, these machines will get safer, but they probably shouldn’t be used for much more than parking in their current state.
With all of this in mind, you should have a good idea of the different types of technology which are dominating modern roads. While the problems they might cause probably won’t be as severe as global warming, it’s always worth thinking about these aspects of your time on the road, as they could change the way you drive forever.
Pipe Systems For Those In The Agricultural Sector
There is no denying the fact that plastic pipework systems are considered the best option when it comes to utilisation for agricultural purposes. There are many reasons why this is the case. This includes the likes of the fact that plastic pipework systems are chemical resistant, they are flexible to use and install, they are highly durable and have a long life span, they make great use for irrigation, and they are of course very lightweight too making them easy to use and transport as well.
But, how do you actually find the best quality plastic pipework systems? No matter whether you have just bought an orchard for sale or you have cattle, you need to ensure quality at your agricultural business. After all, if you don’t opt for quality then you are not going to benefit from all of the fantastic benefits just stated.
The first thing you need to do is make sure that the company and the brand in question has all of the pipework pieces you need in order to complete you system. Imagine how frustrating it would be to order all of your pipework only to note that you are missing a key component. You then go back on the website only to find that the company you have purchased from don’t actually sell the part you need in the specific brand you have used. You will then have to find a different make that fits with your system, nonetheless this is not a recommended route to go down. Thus, remember to consider everything from threaded fittings, to large bore fittings, to cutters, to compression fittings, to all of the accessories too.
In addition to this, you should always make sure you go for a company that has experience in the industry. By doing this you can be certain that their products are of a high quality and that you will have a great helping hand available should you need one. If you can find a company boasting over ten years’ experience then you know you have done well. This shows they have been selling their products for a long period of time and thus must be doing something well. Not only this, but they are likely to have vast experience in the industry and thus they can provide you with any information or help needed. This is something that is not always guaranteed when you go for a start-up company – it is too much of a risk, especially when dealing with something as important as pipework systems.
Aside from this, you should also take note of the different brands of pipework sold by the company. If the business offers several different brands of pipework then this is always a good sign because they have relationships with several big players and therefore will present you with quality products. In addition to this, make sure they state that their plastic pipework pieces have been developed in order to comply with the Drinking Water Inspectorate and WRAS.
If you use this article as a guide and follow the three main points then you should have no trouble finding the perfect plastic pipework for you. Make sure that all of the fittings and pieces you need are available and ensure there is a good selection of brands too. In addition to this, make sure the company has a good level of experience and look out for regulations, especially those concerning drinking water.
4 Tips For Building Your Own Home
If you’re one of those people who loves having things their own way, as well as the challenge of creating something from nothing, then you may consider building your own home. Given the cost and autonomy that this option allows, it’s a little unusual that more people don’t do it. When you buy an existing home, you’re trying to contort yourself into an existing space; when you build your own home, you’re wrapping yourself up in a building that was designed with your unique needs in mind. But of course, it can be difficult. Below, we take a look at five tips that’ll put you on the road towards success.
What Do You Want?
Let’s begin the tips with the fun stuff: what do you want? One of the main advantages of building your own home is that you can include the things that you want. When you’re looking at existing homes, you’re just hoping that it’ll contain one or two of the things you require from your home — they’ll be a bonus, rather than obvious. So when it comes to the planning stages, think about everything that your ideal home would have. Cost or other factors might mean they’re not possible to include, but it’s a good starting point. Of course, as well as those things that you want your new home to have, you’ll also think about what you’ll need!
Moving Slow
You can buy and move into a home pretty quickly, but this option is off the table when you’re building your own property. Then, you’ll need to have patience and to prepare yourself for a long process. In the early days, you’ll have to find the land and go through the necessary paperwork that’ll allow you to build. In all, you’ll want to give yourself around 10 – 14 months from beginning to end. Don’t see this is as negative, because it’s not — it’ll give you the time and space to get things right.
Work with Experts
It is possible to build a home yourself, but only if you have plenty of experience in home-building or other trades. If you don’t, then you’ll need to rely on the help of experts in order to make sure your new property is of the highest quality. You’ll need a professional to help buy the land and navigate the building paperwork process and look at windows and doors. For the property itself, look at working with a company such as Rise Builders. Everything will be much more straightforward if you have professional, experienced companies on hand to help you through the process — aside from ending up with a superior home, you’ll find it much less stressful.
Room in the Budget
You might have an idea of how much your home is going to cost, but it’s always recommended to have a little room in the budget. Some aspects of the home will be more expensive than you previously calculated, and when it happens, you’ll be grateful that you thought ahead to account for the unexpected costs that follow.
Godzilla : King Of The Monsters Movie Review
Here is my review of Godzilla : King Of The Monsters – I must say that the 3 part poster looks amazing.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (released as Godzilla II: King of the Monsters in some markets) is a 2019 American monster film directed by Michael Dougherty and co-written by Dougherty and Zach Shields from a story by Max Borenstein, Dougherty, and Shields. A sequel to Godzilla (2014), it is the 35th film in the Godzilla franchise, the third film in Legendary Pictures’ MonsterVerse, and the third Godzilla film to be completely produced by a Hollywood studio. The film stars Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, Aisha Hinds, O’Shea Jackson Jr., David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, and Zhang Ziyi. It is dedicated to executive producer Yoshimitsu Banno and original Godzilla suit performer Haruo Nakajima, who both died in 2017.
I can’t say that this was very entertaining for me. It failed to capture my attention for long and a few times I was struggling to stay awake in the afternoon. I can say that I did love the effects, especially the monsters but the movie as a whole lacks the pacing, tone and storyline to keep me enthralled. The humans in the movie feel like props more than anything and I could even see a movie of just the monsters dukeing it out, without any human intervention, being more engaging and entertaining. Mothra looks amazing, Godzilla, King Ghidorah & Rodan – all look amazing and fantastic. The fights between the creature are exciting. Acting wise, it should have been better but I guess the actors can only do so much with what they are given. The cast is actually a very good one and I was disappointed that one of my favourite character actresses, CCH Pounder, was only in a single scene.
Also when it comes to acting, although I love the inclusion of Asian characters and actors in big budget movies (especially here since it is based on Japanese lore) but I find it difficult to follow Zhang Ziyi when she speaks. It’s not the poor actress’s fault since she is probably doing her best. But when she is stressing way too much on how she pronounces, it leaves the rest in the wake. I just feel like they should have gotten someone else. I do love seeing the young Millie Bobby Brown who is fast becoming an actress to watch out for and I am a fan of Kyle Chandler & Vera Farmiga, in this film you could have easily replaced them with unknowns and the movie would have still remained the same. I hope the actors were payed a lot of money!
Other than a continuity and therefore important, I would give this movie a miss. I am looking forward to the next one in which Godzilla and King Kong face off and that one could be a hit! I cannot wait. As for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, I give it 6 outta 10!
