I woke up this morning with a smile on my face. Even if it is a Monday and I had to wake up at 6 am so I can get ready to get to the office by 8:30 am, tomorrow is a holiday and hence I could enjoy a nice evening at home and also spend the next day at home. Which is lovely! So why get upset at Monday when you still have an extra day off the next day?

As I reached the office and spoke to a couple of my colleagues also doing this shift timings I thought, hey here is an idea. I haven’t had any beer in ages. I think June was the last time that I bought some. So if I left by 5:30 pm or even at 6pm, I could book an Ola rental and go to BevCo and buy a few beers and then point the cab in the direction of a supermarket and get a few snacks and essentials before then heading for home. Sounded like a plan!

But even though I did eventually did do all that, I cannot drink beers tonight. One of the trainees in my batch had a bad cold and fever and I think she gave it to me. I catch colds so quickly. I started sneezing badly. By 5pm I thought I would skip the beer and groceries and just go home. But the lure of the Amstel beers was too hard to resist. I might not drink it tonight or tomorrow but it will keep.
