Finally Back To Work From Homee

So today was my last day at the office (atleast for a long time) as my current process, which we started in our office just a little over 3 months ago, is meant to be a permanent work from home process. The agreement was we have the training and a 2 to 4 week on the job training at the office and then send everyone home with the laptops provided. What the local upper management decided was that we would have everyone work in the office for about 2 months and then send everyone home. Being a new process, we need to be able to get some stability and with the overseas online help that we get, learn a lot and then go home.

So that’s that we started to do and about a month in, it was decided that it would be 3 months before we sent everyone home. By the middle of August it was decides that based on performance, we would send the 10 best home by the 18th of August and then another 11 by the 24th. That done we kept the remaining 11 and the newly hired 8 at the office till today the 13th of September. So today, finally we send the rest home and told them to login from home starting tomorrow (only those who are scheduled to work tomorrow). We gave up the temporary floor that we were using and I sent the email to the team that the access was to be revoked for all of us.

We said our goodbyes and took a few photos and I came back home. So now I relax for the weekend and we also have the major state festival this Sunday. Monday onwards I will login only from home and maybe from a cafe once in a while. Finally!

What If Money Wasn’t An Issue For Me

If money wasn’t an issue, what would you dedicate your life to? Explore your passions and dreams without financial constraints.

If money wasn’t an issue, I would like to do a few things. I mean first things first I would quit my job. So one of my dreams is if I win like a huge chunk of money, like the lottery what all things I would do. One of my biggest wishes is to take my family on a long cruise around the world on a luxury ship. I don’t even care about hitting the big ports and seeing the sights of the biggest cities around the world as much as the actual cruise.

I would probably just retire and relax after that. Get a nice new home, place my parents in there as well and get a dog or two. Maybe a couple of cats as well.  And then we will live in luxury and travel the world in style and never have to work another day of your life and/or worry about money again. Go do all the things that I have wanted to do and never worry or feel guilty about spending so much of your time on your hobbies.

I would keep it quite though. I wouldn’t want a lot of hoopla and I just want to live a quite & sedate life for the rest of my existence.
